    Just like the title says...I am looking to upgrade my current CPU with an opty 185! again it is socket 939 at 2.6 ghz ! if you live in the lower 48 states and have this CPU in good condition and are willing to wheel and deal then drop me a PM! !!!!

    flesher that opty on the egg is a good deal....but IIRC he cant runt the opty275 you have in the first links, as it is AM2 not 939!

    OOPs I completely forgot 940 is AM2, for some reason I was thinking 940 was still 939 just what they call the server procs, but it was the same thing just AM2 :)

    i think im gonna win an ebay auction for the opty 180 instead. however, im going to keep this open so that maybe someone on TPU has one they want to sell me on the cheap!!!!

    Actually it's closer to 939 than AM2. 940 is the server socket version of 939, and it might just work with a normal 939 mobo.
