[WTB][US] Molex to Dual-Floppy Power Adapter

I have plenty of scrap cables around my house, but no extra floppy power connectors. I've seen plenty of molex to single floppy cables, but I don't want to spend $16 + tax and ship.

They're for my new DFI 790FX-M2RS, and instead of an extra molex for added power, it uses two floppy connectors (I know, bad choice, but hey, it's a DFI board and I'm getting it for less than Newegg).

They're on both sides of the right-most PCI slot. I plan to run them under the board towards the back to meet a molex connector.

I've been trying to look for a dual, but if you have one or know where one is, let me know. And I'd prefer that it not home made, because I'd trust myself more to make it.

Yeah, but no floppy ones. DIY would be hard.

I did a DIY with a dual molex to 8-pin xeon adapter for my 3870X2 to get the extra 2 grounds, but I think with a floppy it's gonna be a little harder, since the floppy pins are unique.

I might just end up buying two and a molex splitter. Gaah. If you would be so kind, find me somewhere that I can get two from for less than $8 a piece (PerformancePCs).

Hmmm, it does look like you'd be able to use a standard 4-pin connector, it just wouldn't be keyed at all so you'd have to be careful about plugging it in...

Why not just run the board without one plugged in? They aren't required for the board to run. It is only recommended if you are using multiple graphics cards. One should be enough for two graphics cards.

Simply put, I won't be able to stand it. It will bug the absolute hell out of me.

Besides, I get better OCs on my MSI when I have the extra molex in vs. when I don't, and all on a single GPU.

I'd build my own if my solder skills with wires were up to par. I think I boned by tip by melting the rubber wire. I can't tin it, the lead just falls off.

no real soldering needed . the end(4pin) is crimp fittings. All you would neet is a good set of cutter/stripper/crimper tool.

It may be easier to make it than you think!

Not too sure on cheaper tho T-ski rocks with the low price!
