I tried to format my computer this week and I followed all of the instructions to format and reinstall. Booted of the DVD, format C:, and install. Got all of that done then I installed SC2. Restart the computer without the Win 7 disc in and the F'ing computer booted back to the orignal version of 7, the version I just formatted!! WTF. Is it because I didn't format the system reserved partition as well?

Is it because I didn't format the system reserved partition as well?

Most likely yes. What you can try is putting the Windows disc back in like your're going to reinstall. Once you get to the part where it shows the system reserved (it will hopefully show two) delete the older one. Take the disc out and hard reboot or restart if you have the option.

When you do a fresh install, make sure to delete the old partitions and format everything.
