i bought a wx7100 for a dell precision 7720 and after a fresh linux install i thought i could get a little more out of it and flashed a different vbios and now it wont clock higher then 300mhz, iv tried all the mobile and desktop vbios for the wx7100 that i can find and none work so i thought id reach out and see if anyone has one that hasnt been uploaded, the number on the die of the gpu is "215-0876358" the memory is micron "7ya47 d9sxd" and the number on the PCB is "109-c95847-00d-02" it did take some time to get it to work right so there is a chance the card is semi dead i just want to exhaust my options before i buy another

im highly doubting it but just incase some unfortunate soul finds themselves in a similar situation where their wx7100 mobile is stuck at base clock and nothing is working https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/202601/dell-wx7100-8192-160715 is the only vbios for this card i could get to work right out of the box with kali linux running the latest updates even after a clean install, vga support is missing in the vbios so if you are using a dell docking station and using the vga port im doubting itll work

Maybe flash back the original bios for the card.

Maybe flash back the original bios for the card.
thats the idea i had but i wont lie it was 1am when i did this so i didnt back it up, what ended up happening is i bought another one off amazon this time new (for more than i should have in my option) thing is the issue with it being stuck at base clock was still there, thats when i wiped the system and reinstalled kali which didnt fix anything, metrics were taken using nvtop, radeontop, and corectrl and manually setting the clock did nothing, mind you this is a "new" card from a different seller on a fresh kali install, perhaps i just got super unlucky all i know is i flashed that vbios on the card and it started working properly
