x fi sound cards

    i got the x fi fatelity card and the model number is 0460 on it and my research shows it should be 0466 the 460 is the cheapest one better

    when i install the card and went to creative web site i did scan for creative hardware it bought up fatl1ty card (this is all with out the i/o bay or ribbion on the card , didnt want that to interfear) the card aslo has a heat sink on th audio prcesser and a red led light on it if that helps

    so what i want to no does my card have the 64mb's is it the right one
    btw i got it from newegg

    I think this is the RAM chip. Is it on your card?
    Does it say 0460 on your card or on the box?

    yes it is the chip i have in the middle of my card and it says model 0460 on the card

    That is interesting. You may want to contact Creative, everything may be fine and it may work just as well, but with such an expensive purchase I would want to be certain.
