I'm looking to buy any X58 motherboard and any LGA1366 processor. Price is my most important consideration.

My power supply exploded, and the surge caused my X58 system to stop working. I am not sure if it took out the motherboard, processor, or both, and I have no way to test them. I bought a Haswell system to replace it, but I want to sell the old parts and I need to determine if they're working before I sell them since that will significantly affect the sale price. I need to buy a processor to test the motherboard and a motherboard to test the processor.

I am looking to save as much money as possible on these parts since they will only be used to test my old parts. I want to buy components that are easily resellable since that's what I plan to do with them once I have tested my parts, so I don't want anything that has been heavily modified.

Please send me any offers you may have. Thanks!

Your processor is more then likely fine, I had a similar experience and all that was dead was the PSU and motherboard thankfully.

I would have to agree. I'll bet 99% chance the mobo is the issue.
