I seem to be failing in my attempts to find gpu coolers, i cannot find a very good selection, on newegg or ebay... looking for some kinda exhaust type one, but one that only takes up ONE!!! extra slot, the ati silencers seem to take up TWO extra slots, because of the center of the fan extending out,

Even one that doesnt exaust might be ok but i guess what i really need is a selection, if you know any good websites for gpu coolers pls post em!!!

Hi there, im not trying to thred jack, But please look at my post, It lists a good GPU Liquid cooler for the X800 Series, and also lists a good idea for liquid coolign for the x800 series, I have an arctic cooler 4 Silencer, And my card still runs hot at 85c !! The card cooler i list only takes up 1 slot. Depends on how much you wanna spend, £100 for liquid cooling is not expensive in my opinion

£100 isnt much for liquid cooling, but when your only using it for an X800...

The ATi cooler uses 1 slot, but it's true they are *slightly* bigger than that. I have an PCI-e x800GT and if I plug a card in the AGP-slot the fan of the Silencer stops because the AGP-card touches the fan. It's very annoying.

yes frick that is exacticerly the problamo, the fan on mine has a cone shaped center, and....luckily i was doin this to the ati silencer i bought and not the origional (they are basically the same thing but with different stickers), i started grinding the cone down......

sadly the point where it actually connected to the motor was still too far out, and i wound up breaking the fan... but i cut out the old fan and got a standard 80 mm fan and cut just the motor and fan blades out, siliconed it in place, werked fine till i actually got the master crossfire card.

This was all done as ahead of time before i got it so i wouldnt be so excited and get extremly frustrated.

But when i put it all together i get very little airflow, because they are so close together, it doesnt get hotter than the master, but it is up to around 70 degrees C, which it used to be 58-60 C,

Im a little upset, im about to make another backplate for it, one that hugs right up close to the card, and drill holes in the heatsink and put screws or nuts/bolts, so that i can swap coolers withe the master card, the master has a fan inset way into the heatsink, and draws air from the end of the card by the power connector.

I'll make it work it'll be a bitch but i will. Still id rather spend 20 bucks to make things easy on myself so please any1 give me ur video card cooler website pls. :D ima have fun non the less
