Hi Guys,

I want to buy a new video card for my system. I love doing gaming occasionally. So which card is a better purchase, I'm getting these cards for following prices,(no need to give me other prices, as i'm not from us)

x800xt 100$
x850xt 125$
7600gt 155$

I am on little tight budget as would be I am doing a complete system overhaul, the new system would be core2duo based...is SM3 in 7600gt worth the extra premium, coz i think it would be a little slower compared to x800xt..
Also is x850xt worth the extra 25$ over x800xt ?

So which card is the best bet ?

x850xt will give you the best performance as it has more pipelines i believe and higher clocks

i get
50-100 fps in CSS @1680x1050 with max details 6Xaa and 16Xaf

40-90 fps in bf2 @1280x1024 settings max dynamic shadows off max View distance and 2Xaa AF on high

30-70 fps in 2142 @1280x1024 all settings maxed dynamic lighting and shadows & Bloom off max View distance and 2Xaa AF on high

I would go x850xt all the way. Shader 3 does not matter that much. Best performance.

I think its only 20Mhz clock difference b/w x850xt and x800xt and extra 80Mhz on Memory, is there any other difference which i'm missing out on ... I'm on a really tight budget..would luv to save 25$ if difference ain't no large..

If you get the x800gto2, you can flash it to an x850xt!

Talking about PCI-E X850XT is better because it has 1.6ns memory and R480 (usually very good overclocker). X800XT PCI-E has 2.0ns memory which usually couldn't be clocked higher than 550MHz. Also R423 (on X800XT is similar to R480 but usually can't be clocked as high as R480) and finally the cooler is single slot.
X850XT will come with dual slot cooler which is advantage haveing in mind how hot these cards are.

For 125 USD the X850XT probably is without VIVO and with 1xVGA/1xDVI (the X850XT or X850XT PE VIVO comes with DUAL DVI).

If you buy X850XT (non VIVO and with 1xVGA/1xDVI) contact me because I have moded X850XT PE BIOS for 1xVGA/1xDVI with which you will obtain real X850XT PE (if your card can maintain the X850XT PE speeds ;) ).
