Trying to overclock my samsung greens and not having as much luck in my UD3H as I did in my ITX box. (see signature).

Do I need to raise my VTT and IMC Voltage to stabilize my ram? I can't get it to boot past 2000 mhz regardless of dram voltage (tried 1.35 to 1.60). It also won't go below cas 9 at 1600. I can't get below cas 10 on 2000 mhz.

    Any thoughts?

Are you running four modules in the workstation and two in the LAN box? That could be why, and yeah, try some more voltage on the integrated memory controller.

Yes I have 6 modules now. The two are obviously mismatched in the main workstation/gaming rig since they only sold them in 2x4's. I think its week 5 and weeks 12s. I'll have to look at the lan box's week batching and maybe select for closer weeks. How high can I take my IMC? VTT? Are ivy i7's more robust than ivy 1230's at ram overclocking?

I have the option of selecting load line calibration for my vtt and for my vram. Is this good for stabilizing ram overclocks or unnecessary?

Sensors indicate that the ram voltage never seems to fluctuate, im at 1.44v, 2000 mhz, 10-10-10-27, Cr2. 8 hours p95 stable ((just woke up and switched to IBT) but that doesn't load ram so I am doing IBT max at the moment. . My vtt is 1.068, doesn't move much.. Since the mobo bios flash I couldn't run Intel Extreme Tuning Utility which I usually use to test ram overclocks.

My mobo board is a ud3h but I had to flash it with a modified bios, its the f20c bios. Some guy made it and distributed it on a forum somewhere, thats the best I can tell you but without that bios i couldn't run over 1600. I found the link on OCN's UD3H thread searching for samsung 30nm overclocking.

I understand that the VTT is the memory controller voltage. I also understand I have a IMC voltage spot in the bios. Which do I bump? Is there a ratio between these I need to maintain? This thing should be overclocking better, it just doesn't get past the boot sequence when I try to push any better than 2000,C10. I tried 1800 Cas8 but it didn't boot. 1800c9 boots but only CR1. I know its something off because the ram overclocks like a champ, I did 2133 cas9 with every module I did and tested each dimm in my ITX box, so all the ram seems pretty damn solid. ITX's bios won't allow over 2133, just can't select maybe its a sandy bridge thing or an asrock thing. I dont have any XMP profiles for this ram so its shooting in the dark really.

I might buy a 3770k from microcenter and sell the xeon for that extra 1ghz as I am going there today to help a forum member out.l

Bumped VTT to 1.10 from 1.05 default and my Vram from 1.490 to 1.520. See if this helps, I failed IBT Max at the 5th loop.

Those are bios voltages, VTT is 1.104 to 1.116v in windows. VDram is 1.512v. (Hwmonitor)

Failed IBT solidly, I don't know what loop, was outside, came back inside and it had rebooted. Increased my offset from -.140 to -.10 to rule out CPU core voltage / extreme undervolted. Going to run again.

trying a 3770k now. Still has same issues, trying F18 Gigabyte Official bios. Anyone have a list of advanced timing controls for the Gskill 1.35v ram that uses the same Samsung chips? I might need to change these from auto to a fixed value.

I believe its the G.Skill Ecos but not quite sure. HCH9 IC.

    looking at this now

Some setting on this motherboard is holding me back:

I can't get above 2000 mhz or below 10-10-10-28 @ 1.5v. I'm not even sure how I got this setting to boot because I get boot looped most of the time. I have this profile setting saved and its okay but I think theres a motherboard setting I am missing somewhere.

Any help would be appreciated! I set the same dimms in my ITX box and they do 2133 9-9-9-24

Voltage doesn't matter, I can't get it to boot with voltage as high as 1.6.
