Anyone know why my all core turbo setting has vanished from my mod bios? Had mod bios on both switch settings, and neither has it any more.
Reflashed mod bios... still no all core turbo. Has anyone else noticed this on x99?

Try to do a fresh install of Windows 10 (2021 version or older) with no internet connection so the Windows does not automatically update. If Turbo boost still does not work, then the motherboard must be the culprit. I remember from my experience that once Turbo boost did not work for me on 1 particular X79 motherboard, while the same CPU was boosting normally on another motherboard.

No, it's weirder than that. I flashed a fresh mod bios, and my all core turbo setting is just gone. In my bios, not windows or linux. Even checked on my 2nd bios position.
Just one setting available when using the mod bios, but it's gone now....

All core turbo only appears when ai tweaker is set to xmp or manual

Small info I went to the seller of z9pa-d8 board and at this board bckl settings do not exists, apparently asus z9pe-d8ws have that settings and it is capable of bckl overclocking with v2 xeon's(that is confirmed on another thread). Guy have this board( asus z9pe-d8ws) and two 2687w v2,he was able to rise bckl to 108 but heat was too much(only had two air coolers bad one's). So I'm on the hunt for z9pe-d8ws,
allready ordered 2687w v2( two of them).
The seller still had something else to sell
So for 300e I got Gigabyte X399 Aorus Pro,1920x,dark rock pro tr4, and 16gb of Kingston HyperX 3200.

I would back that OC down to 3.8ghz and drop the voltage to 1.32v. You won't miss the 200mhz, but you'll be much happier with the lowered power usage and heat.

What does AMD's monitoring tool say?
Ryzen master-61c so very close to aida64.I'm gona try to lower the voltage first to see how low I can go with undervolting, and tomorow I'm starting the hunt for z9pe-d8ws board.

quick question, i found out that we can put two gpus in on computer, one for playing games and use the other one for encoding videos, recording, etc.

One of my gpus requires a 300 watts psu, but tdp is 100w, the second gpu is 450 psu and tdp 150w, my PSU is 645w ATM, but my new computer should arrived next week which has a 825w.
would it be ok to add both these gpus?

I would avoid the whole thing if radeon pro wx 8200 or 9100 or 8100 cards were cheaper, they're expensive as hell even in 2023 lol

You'll be fine. My general strategy for power supplies is to add your biggest draws (usually CPU and GPU) together, add 100W for rest-of-system, and multiply by 1.2-1.5 depending on desired headroom. If you've got a 100W CPU, that's ( 100 + 100 + 150 + 100 ) * [1.2,1.5] = [540,675]. Even your 645 would do it (assuming it's modern enough to have most of it's output on 12V), and the 825 will be plenty.

I just got a dell 7810, it comes with a 685w PSU, what PSU are you guys using, 825 or 1300 and what's the best one to get?
because on Ebay there are some 825w ones, but when you click on it, it says the model its for is Dell t5610.

All depends on the specs that 850w branded power supply are usually good for single cpu and power hungry graphic card and multi hard drives and for dual cpu with power hungry graphic card you could go upward to 1200w which is more expensive to buy and run. These usually for overclocking type setup but bone stock variation all depends what parts are being used. That all I could say

To be fair, that one will run almost anything you can throw at it except for super high end/high wattage GPUs. You really shouldn't need to replace it. If it were an old Tx500 series with a 525W, then yeah, you'd want to upgrade, but a 685W is more than enough for 95% of what you might want to do with a T7810.

Well i just ordered a 825w PSU now and a Vega 56 card, requirement for the card is 550 PSU and TDP is 210w . I should be ok right?

As long as the PSU is a quality unit, you'll be just fine.

I did "little" cpu upgrade for my Fujitsu R940. From 2 pcs E5 2660V3 to check the picture.

Still waiting to get my 16pin bios clip and bios chip reader. I have to make bios backup before editing bios, modified bios won't flash. This Fujitsu has flash descriptor on and also wants signed bios update when using Fujitsu tools. Intel tools don't work, because flash descriptor. Not worried about flash descriptor it can be edited, but don't know how signed bios update works. Just have been thinking if modified bios would work or if there is more "protections" built in. But all this is for learning more.

I have the same board here, I want to mod The bios, but for now don't have sucess. Maybe with a external flasher :(

That is the maximum I can get voltage -80 -50 input cpu voltage 1.850. Asus x99-a2

My processors did cost more because of Finnish taxes. Also price has dropped about 10€ since my order. Which version of this Fujitsu you have? There is D3358-A1(I have this) and D3358-A2. A2 supports Broadwell(Xeon V4) and A1 is limited to V3.

With Fujitsu bios flashing utility you can only flash signed images->no modded images, but you change CPU microcodes with this(Which is still odd thing). Also backup image in this utility doesn't copy Intel me-region to backup file->not a full backup.

Intel ME System Tools Flash utility and Ami flash tools stop reading/flashing, when they notice that flash description values are set. In theory Flash descriptor could be changed with programs, which boot to UEFI shell and can change NVRAM values. I haven't tested this because, I want full bios backup before doing any bios modding. So getting clip and flasher is must for me. Clip should arrive probably tomorrow and reader in two weeks.

If you just want to change bios values:
1. You need usb memory stick formated to FAT32.
2. Download UniversalAMDFormBrowser.zip from https://github.com/DavidS95/Smokeless_UMAF
3. Extract zip's contents to usb drive and boot from USB stick.
Yes name says AMD, but it still works fine with Intel. You get atleast access to IntelRCSetup-menu and some mostly useless hidden menus. This program has also odd user interface, but take your time and don't change too much values at same time. Also numeric values this program show you are almost always in hexadecimal form. So somekind converting app is good, unless you can do this conversion in your head. This program changes bios settings(in NVRAM) so reseting bios should return these values to defaults.

Also there is way to update SLIC to 2.5 in this board, but I won't tell what this is. This forum is not place for this.
