pretty much all you can do with a 8800gt now is flash it to a 9800gt and overclock it.
i did this to mine , i changed the thermal paste to mx2 then flashed to 9800gt and changed the fan statagy to make it much cooler under load.
did this to a asus standard clocked and a zotac superclocked
asus is now at memory 950mhz gpu 700mhz shader 1675
zotac is at 1000mhz gpu 700mhz and shader 1700.
perfect 24/7 for over 8 months
in sli ive had nearly 20000 in 3dmark06 which aint bad and 13535 on vantage

Don't forget you can do a BIOS mod to get alittle more voltage into the core to give a slightly higher clock. Its worth it IMO 2 minutes editing the BIOS for voltage and mem timings and flash the card and enjoy having more options to tweak. Also there is a hardmod so you can set voltage ~1.3v and that really makes the card wakeup but takes a really good cooler.

Lol. I went from 8800GTX to 4870 and saw little to no difference. Though I do crank AA and now have 256MB less RAM.
