XFX Radeon, Bios, Help!

Hi!

A friend flashed a Bios on my XFX Radeon 4870, now it doesnt work anymore. If i start the computer the message comes, that no power connectors on the radeon. I dont removed the connectors, so it must be the bios that is wrong. I flashed a XFX Bios from the Database here, but not working, same error again. What can i do now, please help!

The card is a: XFX Radeon 4870
On the sticker: HD-487A-ZW HD-487A-ZWFL VA.0
HD 4870 750M 1GB DDR5 DUAL DVI PCI-E LITE

I found a bios in a Mac forum, they have the same problems. I flashed it, it works now again! There are some problems with ZWFL cards i think, in the mac forums they say the same.

Its not the same PCB design, thats why it didnt work. You just have to use the right bios next time. Glad it works again. Cheers

Yes, but it is a shame that XFX doesn´t provide the original bios. I asked theme for original bios for my card and they dont have one, that is a shame.

you should always back up you original bios before modding ... that goes without saying

Anyone knows if XFX warranty supports flashing BIOS????

if it goes back to them with the original bios on it working or not, you'll be ok as long as you dont say "oh i flashed it it borked n i flashed back i wanna new card FTW"
