XFX over the weekend posted a new teaser video of its Radeon RX 6800 XT Speedster Merc 319 custom-design RX 6800 XT graphics card. Screengrabs reveal a large triple-fan, triple-slot board design that appears to be evolved from the company's THICC III series. This time around, XFX appears to have made the cooler substantially more airy, with the cooler shroud and backplate featuring tiny vents all across, and the top of the fan exposing a lot more of the heatsink underneath. Like almost every premium custom-design board launched this generation, the heatsink is longer than the PCB, and much of the airflow from the third fan flows through cutouts in the backplate. Find the teaser video in the source link below.

It would be nice if EVGA made AMD cards.

AMD has Sapphire, they are pretty good. I have used them since AGP days. I have a Sapphire Nitro 580 now too. and the 5700 lineup the Sapphire Nitro series had the best cooling/quality. I am hoping to get a Sapphire 6800 XT or reference one.

For sure, Sapphire does some fantastic things with both their Pulse and Nitro series cards. PowerColor too has been doing some good stuff, especially with the Red Devil 5700XT for example.

However, I do still also wish that EVGA made AMD cards. I see them as the nVidia equivalent to Sapphire: high quality in everything they do, and highly regarded as a result. It's a competitive field, but I'd like to see more competitors that put in serious effort (looking at you, ASUS and MSI :)).

I have used EVGA and Sapphire both quite a lot. Sapphire is not really at the same level as EVGA. Yeah Sapphire has solid GPU design and execution. But their customer service is no where near EVGA’s level.

I wish HIS is still around though, had my 4870 with HIS, great customer service

Sapphire is not at the level of EVGA, for me it is way higher than EVGA. I've used both as well and Sapphire is great in any possible way. I always thought that the PowerColor is great (and it is) but if I were to pick EVGA or Sapphire, I'd go the latter one any day. Service support, never had any problems with Sapphire cards so not sure about the support, but there is plenty of guides on their webpage.
HIS is still here. The company manufactured the 5700XT card

I would've liked evga touch in AMD card, but they went toyish too like asus and gig with 3000 nvidia series so it's no more a wish. To it seems like XFX is trying a more serious style, we would see if it will be plasticky or not.

I was excited about XFX's offer, until I noticed someone scribbled MERC across the backplate. :shadedshu:
