Sadface for being broke
Wow that sucks.
I wish I had the cash to.
Wow, I wonder what the heat dissipating surface area of that thing is.
So why doesn't this come with any fans? Its gonna end up costing even more money after purchasing some decent fans to go along with this. I think its a good idea just not a very good marketing strategy.
Got any benchies for this thing? Does it beat the TRUE or s1283?
I think it's a great strategy. People who buy these are most likely enthusiasts and I don't know about you but i would rather slap some high CFM late yoons on this than the stock fans.
The fancy box it comes shipped in doesn't pay for itself. Colorful holographic boxes are way more important than some 120mm fan.
I don't know but I need a HS for my new build..and I think i have found it!
well it is all marketing... I mean this thing probably performs within 3C of every other air cooler costing $20-$30 less.. its gotta differentiate.
you already have a v8, u dont need another hsf
yeah but you don't get a Kick ass looking box!
I have a Phenom II build coming, this build's getting passed off to the Pop's he needs a new PC.
http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/1753/6/xigmatek_thor_s_hammer_s126384_h_d_t_cpu_cooler/index.html here is a review... the noctua walks all over this thing. bad too. then again the noctua beat TT's crappy Watercooling system.
Here is waht ya need (keeps the vrms down too)
No thanks, not me. I prefer my pc to be as silent as possible. Right now I can barely hear mine. Got all of the fans running at low speeds and my 4830 is passively cooled.
eh... going more off topic here, but not according to frostytech, which useses probably the most accurate test setup availible.
that being said, if I go back to air, thor's hammer is a cool sink in more ways than one, but the price puts me off and I'd probably have an hdt-1283
