XPG's Xenia 14 is a slick ultrabook focused on a "gaming lifestyle" with its fully-featured 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 Tiger Lake processor packed into a frame weighing in at less than one kilogram. Battery life is very good, giving you up to 6 hours of Netflix, and fan noise is minimal, too.

XPG has a sale on right now with these notebooks. They have an introductory offer on the i5 model of the Xenia 14 for $1045, and it includes a headset, mouse pad, and a backpack to carry your Xenia 14 around in. you can find that at both the US and Canadian Amazon store. I'll add links to this post when the offer is available.

Amazon.com: 2021 XPG Xenia 14 Limited Edition Lifestyle i5 Ultrabook Intel i5 DDR4 16GB 512GB PCIe 4x4 SSD, Intel Iris X GPU, 14" Screen w/ Backpack, Headset, Mouse mat Bundle (XENIA14I5G11GXELX-BKCUS-BN): Computers & Accessories

Another boring-ass reference-design Tiger Lake system one year after launch, that still costs exactly the same as they did at-launch (with a thinner casing - omg amazing!)

that single-channel ram is unforgivable in such an expensive beast (but even with dual-channel, it's still castrating game performance versus 16GB LPDDR4X.)

Is there really that much demand for swappable ram on quad-core? Could we please get 16gb ram on a 5700u ultra-portable, instead of having to deal with this Contra-Revenue paid ad for Intel's Exclusive in Ram capacity?

It lists a negative as being that only the RAM and SSD can be upgraded.... Are there literally any mainstream laptops that can upgrade more than that? I don't get how you list that as a negative, espwhen many laptops have the memory soldered.

To me it looks good. I'm not interested in fashion and "lifestyle" products and thus probably wouldn't take it over a Thinkpad, but I like the simple, subdued aesthetics with a magnesium body, long battery life and a 16:10 screen, even if I'd prefer it to be 2560x1600. All of the negatives, aside from price and single channel memory, seem to me like good things. I don't want a discrete GPU since I don't play games on a laptop and much prefer less fans, I don't want a touchscreen on a laptop and couldn't care less about the webcam - all those points are, of course, highly subjective. That being said, if I needed a new laptop right now and found this one for a thousand or with a 1600p screen it would be close to the top of the shortlist.

"Thanks to the HDMI 2.0b, Thunderbolt 4, and a USB 3.1 Type-C connector that supports DP, the XPG XENIA 14 is capable of connecting to three external panels if you'd like."
@cadaveca, have you tried this? I have a laptop that has hdmi & type-c but the second external panel that is connected using type-c is a <insert nsfw word>. It used to work but only once.

Gives you up to six hours of Netflix, which is a neat trick if you don't have a subscription. :p

16:10 is a good aspect ratio for office laptops in lack of 4:3. I wish mine had this proportion rather than 16:9.

Is that the same chassis as Razer? Are they going to put a discount on this then given the fact that they're using the same manufacturer for the chassis and have put zero investment on the chassis design? Doubt it.

Depends on which cable you use, I guess? There are lots of cheaper options that are prone to issues.

Better to buy one of those powered usb hubs?

1. LPDDR4X can't be user upgraded. This is bad imho and I think a lot of other people agree.

2. You want a Zen 2 rather than a Zen 3 CPU in your laptop?

What the fuck are you going to run on a quad-core laptop with no discrete GPU that really requires 32GB ram? That ram bandwifth could go towards more useful GPU performance.

Sorry man I mistakenly forgot about those rebrands.

Some models only ship with 8GB installed ;)

It's more about showcasing what the platform is capable of. XPG makes performance memory and drives, so that's what they used. You can find LPDDR4X in other Xenia models if that's what you are really after, sothat's a non-issue for me here. Not everyone requires ultimate performance all the time. But you are right... it's overkill for this device for most people that would buy it, but it is an easy ~$100 upgrade to 32 GB for those that want it.

how much are they paying u to lie...1200 bucks but its literally the gpu/ gaming performance of the 400 dollar ps4 from 2013 and potently slightly lower... this laptop is theft... the pc master race "joke" is tripple joke with things like this 8 years later costing more and preforming the same...

how can somone defend somthing that cant run games better at 1200 dolllars in 2021 vs the 400 2013 ps4... this is paid commenters guys hes paid or super stuipd to defend 3x the cost of somthing super old... his u tube probably defends rotary phones... and a 14 inch screen holy crap 2014 called they dont want to be scalped for low end hardware... i got in 2016 at 65 inch tv working at a grocery store..
