I could understand why there's so many No's and Not Sure's on this poll. Other titles, no money, low expectations, annoyed at how long its been to release it, etc. But there's no reason to single yourselves out. I'm sure after the game comes out that the demo will surface somewhere on the web, whether it be on steam or elsewhere. So just give it a try, who knows, it might change your mind when you start that game up!
And to all those who are close-minded and won't even give it a try...I say...and I quote "EAT SHIT AND DIE!"

Crazy I see you keep saying June 9th, but I see June 14th everywhere, does Steam list yours as the 9th?

yea seems to be a typo since Qubit is in the UK and gifted the pre order to me. weird ah well dont care i just want to play the game.

so yea thanks kurgan for making me double check my email and steam and sinking my fun boat... you bastard.

Im looking forward to the Monster Truck thats going to be the part i replay the most.

I reserve no judgement either way. I should have but never played DN3D. Long story; long ass time ago. Will try the demo and am glad there is one.

@moviez101, I second crazy here. Regardless of the rights and wrongs of what you're saying here, you're heading for a ban and you don't seem like the type to deserve it to me.

Carefully read the forum rules and delete these posts before you get nailed.

I have my views on the whole 'pirating' bullshit fiasco from Big Content that we might well agree on, so feel free to PM about it and we'll discuss. :)

Thanks! My apologies for not reading the FAQ! I will keep my pirate like comments to my crew on my canoe, paddling somewhere near the coast of Madagascar! LOL!

The actual question at hand was...Will i BUY the game as soon as it comes out?

No. As stated, I will wait to see if the PC side of the mulitplayer community will solidify or fade with time.

My other question still holds water. What IS THE PERCENTAGE of the mulitplayer online community for the PC vs. Consoles? I heard on the plus side that Portal 2 Co-Op works on BOTH simultaniously! What do you think? Will Duke Nukem Forever follow suit? We are talking GEARBOX software here, the makers of the original HALO and Halflife network code!

Don't know. However it would be interesting to know what the percentage is. The ability for PC users to take on console users in a multiplayer environment would be nice:)

I haven't been disappointed by 2K for the most part and I am willing to take a risk on Duke Nuk'em Forever.

I think the only game i have been disappointed by from 2K was Bioshock 2.

try Minerva's Den.

I played the Demo and my thoughts are this.

1)if you think the game sucks
punch yourself in the nuts

2) if you think it wont be fun
punch yourself in the nuts

3) if you think the Duke didnt come back swinging
punch yourself in the nuts

4) if you think im lying...
Ill punch you in the nuts myself.

Hmm wait I hope Im eligible for this. Have Borderlands from a Steam sale dunno if GOTY (probably but not sure).

FYI for Borderlands owners on Steam:

You need to get the CD Key on the right side of the page for the First Access Club, go to the FAC page on the DN website, enter it, and then you'll get your key. You then need to activate it on Steam and you'll see the game in your library.

There isn't one. You have to be a member of the First Access club, by buying a qualifying product.

It's pretty entertaining but I really don't have the highest standards outside of great looking graphics tbh. This is decent in that regard. Hell the simple fact we are actually playing DNF is a milestone.

I have to ask, how much of the awesome can people attribute to nostalgia, and how much is actually there?

I only ask because finally getting a decent game, after waiting 10 years for anything, seems like it could make a normal game seem great.

That aside, I'm waiting for judgment. This game has the potential to be crap cashing in on a name, or gold that was worth waiting for.

well as far as im concerned the gameplay was great in the Demo. smooth fluid and controls were responsive, nothing felt fucked up or rushed.

hell they even made sure to add the rear wheel steering to the monster truck for those tight turns lol guns felt good as well.

of course the shotgun still sucks just like every other game ive played in recent memory other then that yea the Demo was rockin.

For how much space the demo takes up it is very short, it is basically the pax demo. What little bit of game that was there was very entertaining though.

I played the demo the other day and beat it in 30 minutes. I was pissed to see that graphics were poor, gameplay was sloppy, and overall the feel was just bad. That being said I really look forward to the finished product cause this looked absolutely horrible. I think this is some sick joke and they are going to have a MUCH better finished game. If not I will be disappointed.

Game will probably rock, too bad the devs were too lazy to make an actual demo.

That's shocking. If the game is actually awesome, they are actually cutting their own throat by releasing such a crap demo.

If it's a crap game anyway, well, they deserve what they get. :ohwell:
