i remember playing Counter Strike 1.3 and Half Life flawlessly:rockout:on my first rig but Call of Duty and GTA:VC were a bit laggy though. I think i still have my old system around here somewhere or maybe i gave it to a relative. Im not sure though

Slowest active hardware in my place is my router, running generic x86 DD-WRT:
s478 Celeron 2GHz, 400MHz FSB, 256k (or maybe 128k) L2 cache
1x128MB SDR 133MHz
Quadro 2 something or other
512MB CF card as hard disk
Some IBM board

It's an IntelliStation E Pro pizza-box style chassis.

Look at my system...

Pretty old right? Bought as a package on November 2006. GPU purchases just a month ago. And it is my one and only computer.

Is there anyone out there who's got an even older system which you use primarily?

Mods, if you think this thread is nonsense then you can delete it. Sorry if its nonsense :D

Thats not THAT old... Look at my computer now, its basically brand new. But I usually just buy 1-2 upgrades at a time, my old CPU before this one was from around 2007. I think my case may be from 2005-2006. Ive had it for my past 3 builds. Its just a damn good case.

My first system was a Commadore64, I think I was 8 or 9 years old and my Dad got it from a friend of his. Then some IBM that was a hand-me-down from some one in the early 90s. Then around 1995 got my first real new computer. It sported an AMD K5 120Mhz processor! WOOOO! And of course the brand new Windows 95. I was 13 at the time. That was also the last thing my parents ever bought me...

I'm 28 now and many many systems and random upgrades since that time.

Any way, yea its time for an upgrade. haha :D

poor poor rents

Actually, mom barely touches it. Doesn't want it connected to internet because she is afraid it will get a virus and she will get scammed. Don't blame her, but she is a touch too paranoid. Like i said more than enough for her needs, when all she does is use it to store pictures and play flash based games ie Farmville.

@SvB

I remember my C64 when i was 6. Will be 32 end of this month.

How can she not be connected to the internet and yet play an online game like Farmville?
