From the current rumors it will fall between 1080 and ti performance wise.
Usually they would sell bit cheaper compared to NVIDIA.
But knowing how expensive that VRAM is, it will be priced accordingly.
And they will play the DX12 Card and it will provable run bit better on Ryzen.
$599.

The issue with HBM is not really the price as much as it is the availability. That being said the most expensive Vega card will not be more that 600$ in order to compete fair and square with Nvidia.

BUT none of that will matter if the mining bubble doesn't pop by then ( and by the look of it , it wont ) and prices will skyrocket regardless, Vega might be the best card to mine with. So whatever expectations you have , you better not hold your breath.

I don't care, I just hope they'll be absolutely useless for mining. So we'll actually be able to buy one...

It was tested yesterday during PCPer Vega FE. Mining is horrible on Vega. Since FE is more of a computing card than gaming, chances are miners will not be interested in Vega

I sure hope so , for AMD's sake , they need graphics cards in the hands of gamers.
Really think so? When was the last time you found any 470, 480, 570, 580's in stock...... Just saying. If they made a "gaming" card that they couldn't keep in stock because it was good at cracking walnuts, I think they could care less as it would turn a profit.

Plus or Minus 12 1/2% of the nearest Equivalent Competition Card
Then you got to consider the AIB Vendors Pricing
and then The Retailers Pricing ( and Discounts / Rebates )
Finally the joker with pricing regarding" Mining" that could or could not screw everyone's Guess :)

My max is around 450, here the dollar ends up costing 15% more than in US / New Egg prices

A VEGA FE is almost 300 dollar more here than on new egg

Vega isn't going to sell within millions regardless of it for being good at gaming or at cracking walnuts, the profit they are making of them isn't big. So if they sell like hot cakes because of being good at cracking walnuts , it wont make them too much good. They have been nonexistent in the high-end for far too long. There are people out there that no longer think they even make GPUs anymore. Their reputation will truly fall and when the walnut cracking game stops , to who the hell will they sell graphics cards ? I mean look how difficult it is for people to accept that Ryzen is genuinely good , same stuff will happen on the GPU side. And AMD isn't as big in compute as Nvidia is to sell a shit ton of GPUs for datacenters. Consumer market is their main source of income as of now.

It will be priced comparatively with its competition's similar performing video cards.

One Vega card should have the same cryptocurrency output as two RX 570s (4.8-5.1) + RX 560 (2.4-2.6) or two RX 580s (5.8-6.2). The only way cryptomining won't buy them up is if they're priced at $800+.

I expect them to be priced around $500-600 because that's about where they're performing compared to NVIDIA's line up. That means cryptomining will eat them up so, I'm not buying one any time soon.

Less than 399 for it is GTX 2070 equivalent. 1080 is already about to retire. and Vega is months away. But given it has double the power consumption and die size area compared to a 12nm Pascal refresh. Not worth more than 299.

No one knows how the Pascal Refresh is going to perform, so saying that it's going to be against the 2070 is just plain wrong.

Just think of GTX 770 and GTX 680. and 1 year later 970 62% faster. We don't know it doesn't mean we cant apply the same story today. What is different.

Kepler was compute focused. Maxwell was D3D11 focused. Maxwell has little in common with Kepler. It was way more than just a die shrink.

It could turn out like Sandy Bridge versus Westmere (great) or it could turn out to be Kaby Lake versus Cannonlake (debuted ultra low power variants first because big chips weren't working on the process at all).

I hope it's around tree fiddy! Honestly, I want a good card for around $350 like my gtx970 at the time I bought it. Cards just seem to be crazy high. I've been looking at the GTX1070, but they seem to have dried up lately for about that price. I found one on Amazon Prime for $379 and was waiting till the next day to pull the trigger and it was gone.. lol I'm really starting to see the age of my card in VR with some of the better games. I'm really trying to hold out for the next round to either drop the current cards prices or a new card for around that price point.

EDIT: I went way off subject on that.... I hope Vega is good and cheap. If so I'll get it.

It's absolutely out of control. And I'm not speaking about inflation due to mining either. If you want to get something like a GTX 1070 the lowest price it'll cost you is something like 450 bucks or there about.( i'm too lazy to go look at the prices right now but I'm guessing it's somewhere in that area because it was not too long ago). I can't believe you found one for under 400 bucks shame on You for not jumping on that right away ;)

Anyhow if this thing is any good at mining it's going to cost $600+-$900 bucks , unless crypto coin's(or whatever the coins are called) drop in value significantly but unless you're willing to pay that kind of money don't anticipate getting one for the first three months

I put my vote at $549 but its either that or $599 to me just because that is where I am betting performance will be (Between 1080 and 1080ti) so they will price it accordingly to get some sales going. But then again they may go all out and try and charge like $700+ just because thats how much they hope (And need) to get from it.

Truthfully, its way to late in my book unless it completely decimates the 1080ti. I doubt it will because I feel like at this point we would have gotten some benches from AMD even if they are biased. The fact they are quiet does worry... Though it could be the flip and they will shoot the bird at Nvidia with something amazing.
