A lot more than a GTX 1080 and a bit less than a GTX 1080ti. Or a bit more than the former and a lot less than the latter.
If it sells too low (and I don't know why anyone believes this is possible) it will tank share price. Too low means it's not competitive anymore, that's not good (and unlikely).

Nothing in this world is good and cheap at same time
It is good , if not than it is cheap
Thanks buddy, I agree with your statement, but I think you miss understood what I was saying. I want a card like my GTX 970 that doesn't cost an arm, and a leg. I used my 970 as a reference and meant a 970's value when it was released and not in it's current state.

The old saying goes:

You can only have it 2 out of 3 ways. Cheap, good, or fast. Choose 2.

If you want it cheap and good, it won't be fast.

If you want it cheap and fast, it won't be good.

If you want it good and fast, it won't be cheap.

Doesn't really apply here. I just like saying it. Since it does apply to a lot of other stuff. :D

$549, because I have my doubt of it will go near 1080 Ti in most games.

I was gonna vote for $599, but since $549 is less expensive than $599 so I go with that

It's different with Ryzen. Those dies are easy and cheap to manufacture , that's why they can undercut Intel by that much. Vega on the other hand , not so cheap and easy to make. Well , on the GPU side of things this has always been the case lately , that's why pricing will always fall in the same brackets.

$599 if it's water cooled, alternatively $499 if it's something like a Nano v2.

VEGA is overclocked 1070 at best, so, asking 599 is insane, try 299 And GTX 1070 becomes 2060 soon. And the power consumption is sky high.

You're assuming FE performance , highly doubt that will be the case , something is very wrong with drivers curently , the thing isn't performing even as good as a 1.6 ghz Fury X would.

They can't sell it for less than 500$ for production costs reasons. And it can't be just a 1070 , no one would tuch it.

It will just follow the market, simple enough, but AMD may do a Fury X - stupid again and add this retarded 'HBM premium' on top, to ensure the thing won't sell again, only to force itself to dramatically lower the price when they see that they can't clear stock one year later.

Story of AMD's life.

No matter what it does, or where it sits, it seems mining has found a purpose for even un wanted GPU'S(conveniently). Seemly mining has been revived to save AMD from having to toss away GPU'S.

$549 if performance is where expected. That will probably cover up their costs. They will make money from Instinct, FE or other pro and semi pro cards. Right now they only need a gaming card to have in the top places of benchmark charts.

If it is indeed faster than Vega FE, I reckon... $2000.

And it comes with a free sticker.

??? Ehm , that's a fact mate. Ryzen is cheaper to make , aprox 200mm^2 vs 500mm^2 ? That's waaaaay more expensive to manufacture , HBM is expensive too . Add more cost to the card itself. They can't sell it for dirt cheap , if they want to sell it at a loss , by all means let them do it.

299? where can you get a 1070 for anywhere near 299? oh and it's 1080 territory not 1070, should it be 349 now?

show me your FACTS are you including 2-3 years of R+D, different fabs/ production methods and costs to manufacture or again just pulling numbers out of your ass? I'm thinking the latter, waiting on links and numbers to prove me wrong though how AMD is able to make a competitive product for peanuts, or is it maybe Intel dropped the ball and just refined Nehalem for 10 years cause they didn't have to do anything else?

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Vega costs a ton of money in stark contrast to Ryzen , which does not , AMD isn't a charity , it's a business. You also need to chill.

Shit, my bad, I missed that bit in the express that quoted Vega cost a "shit ton" of money, very good economics there, thank you for reminding me,, I mean who needs figures or facts in business when it involves a "shit ton" !!!!! :rockout::respect::banghead: I mean pascal and kaby lake were just a fuckin last ditch effort that required a little bit of resources, nothing like a shit ton though ;)

AMD/Intel et'al, hire this guy, he's a fricken business genius and will definitely grow your stocks by a fuck ton!!!

who put 50p/50c in the dickhead? but srsly when I want my stock to grow, with magic beans cause I can't explain how that will happen, I'll give you a call

I'll also give you call when ... oh , you said nothing relevant at all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Shall I put 50p then? Something worthwhile got to come up , till then like I said , I suggest you calm down.

Y'all should slow down with the extra salty chips. Maybe drink a glass of water on a hot day like today :)
Anyway I'm kind of feeling disappointed after seeing the rx vega gaming benchmark released today. Sure it's 15% faster than the 1080 but way slower than the 1080 ti. Yes I know it's synthetic but as a guy who's been wanting to buy a 1080 ti but putting it off for this thing, kind of wondering whether or not I've wasted 2 or 3 months of potential fun and gaming waiting for something I won't end up buying. Flip side is ryzen turned out to be really really amazinh, when I thought it would be another bulldozer flop. Hoping vega isn't bulldozer!!
