ZOTAC International, an award-winning manufacturer of graphics cards and motherboards, today unleashes the latest addition to its water-cooling ready Infinity Edition graphics card lineup - the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition. The new ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition pairs the world's fastest single graphics processor with a high-performance water-block for extreme performance and cooling. Cooled by a custom all-copper water-block, the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition is able to operate at higher clock frequencies while maintaining lower operating temperatures than the existing award-winning ZOTAC GeForce GTX 200 series graphics cards. The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition ships with a water-block preinstalled with standard fittings that enable users to integrate the card with existing or new water-cooling systems.

"We saw that high-end enthusiasts were using water-cooling systems increase overclocking performance and lower operating temperatures. With our ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition, we're able to offer a water-cooling ready high-performance graphics card that integrates well with existing water-cooling components at a relatively low cost," said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International.

Underneath the water-block is a slightly tweaked GeForce GTX 285 graphics processor with 240 overclocked stream processors and 1GB of screaming-fast GDDR3 video memory. The high-speed video memory connects to the graphics processor via an ultra-wide 512-bit memory bus for speedy communications that enable the GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition to render games with ultra quality settings at high-resolutions.

NVIDIA CUDA and PhysX technologies enables the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition to go beyond gaming. CUDA technology enables the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition to accelerate complex mathematical calculations. With CUDA technology, the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition can manipulate and process high-resolution images and high-definition video faster than a quad-core processor.

"We're moving beyond the traditional thought that graphics processors are just for games. With CUDA technology, application developers have been able to take advantage of the high-powered processing capabilities GPUs have. Companies such as Adobe and Elemental Technologies have released CUDA-enabled applications that take advantage of the graphics processor for image and video editing." Mr. Berger added. "PhysX technology is also gaining traction with game developers, allowing realistic physics effects in the latest games and applications."

The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition supports NVIDIA SLI technology for users who demand more than one graphics card. Up to three ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series graphics cards can be installed in a single system for up to 2.8x the performance improvement of a single card.

To take advantage of the high-performance of the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition, the card ships with a full copy of Race Driver GRID. Race Driver GRID puts gamers in the driver's seat of various different cars from tuners, destruction derby, touring cars and muscle cars in real racetracks around the world for a driving experience that's immersive and realistic.

ZOTAC is confident in the long-term reliability of the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition and backs it with a ZOTAC Extended Warranty, with user registration. With the ZOTAC Extended Warranty, ZOTAC goes beyond the standard 2-year warranty to provide support for the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition.
