I believe that is a good news for scientific and gamming uses.

Here in Brazil this will be very expensive! Maybe here comes around US$1100~US$1500 and only in 2011. =[

it would be better to say fastest DX9 card in the world. its only fast in games which was optimized for Nvidia and on DirectX9.

But in all DX11 games, its still 5970 that wins even with 8x AA

And since we have already seen that 6870 is on power with 5870. 6970 should be better than 580

a GTX 580 is the currently fastest Dx11 GPU. Period. the 5970 is a Dual GPU card so it should be no surprise that it is faster, and the 6970 is not even out yet. For the single gpu cards, Nvidia is still king, and if Nvidia ever makes a Fermi Dual GPU card, Nvidia will reign supreme yet again.

EDIT: I also do want to know why do they claim it to be the fastest graphics card, having referenc clocks.
