Ok, so, working 2 doubles now, instead 1 tomorrow. Someone called in and the other guy that should work it, so I don't have 2 doubles back to back, won't answer his phone, as usual. I am leaving in a couple minutes and won't be home until after midnight Thu morning. Fun!?:ohwell:

When I was a kid, I legit just thought winrar was freeware because of this.

It's like they want you to buy it, but only if YOU want to. I bet winrar is very kind and patient on dates.

FWIW, they'd been so nice about it over the years, I did pay up when I got my first job. Only to mostly use 7zip going forward, because it made smaller files.

Another company I like for intentionally doing this is Cockos, makers of REAPER. It's a full blown semi-open audio workstation that actually competes with fully commercial ones to the point where pros still use it along side 5-figure equipment. It's incredibly capable software. The personal license is $60, but after the trial, it just has a startup nag. You can thank Justin Frankel, same guy who gave us winamp.

I left for work, about 5 minutes ago to catch a train to work. Got within feet of the station and realized my pocket, that I keep my work card, id, train pass and bank card, was empty. So, I watched the train arriving as I walked back to my apartment. Now, I am gonna be late, I hate rushing out the door!!

The cat in my profile picture, Kiddo, crossed the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. She was somewhere around 20 years old and I got her as a rescue in 2014. 100% Siamese in every aspect and I was her human. I've had cats my entire life and losing her hurts the most by far.

I did a destructive test with HD Sentinel, a read test with Minitool partition wizard and everything is fine?

Sent my dad's (out of warranty) Macbook to an authorized service centre today, my dad's busy at work and can't do it himself. They charge MYR 200 (~USD 45) just for diagnosis. Apple tax, man...

I literally just got lost reading toot's, or post's, on Mastodon. I read an article in Wired, FEB issue, and decided to check it out. so, still a noob there but, gonna see what up there. So far, so good. The server I joined seems interesting, so far. Anyone else here migrated over there, from Twit?

Never engaged with Twitter - thought about Mastodon but I use Instagram for specific reasons. I heard it's quite different, very decentralised and that you join specific servers.

Right, there is no owner of it. It is run on some platform and people host servers all over the world. Some are specific, topical, work related, invite only, and so on. Most are open to anyone, and you can contact anyone despite the server they're on. Eventually, I am gonna search some of my twitter folks up on Mastodon, eventually, not on my priority list, though.

Well, only had one day off this week, Thursday. 64 hours this week! Hopefully, no extra shifts this coming week, I am scheduled 48 hours for a 5 day period. I would like one regular week, this month, please? LOL. I know I have an extra shift, week after this week so, this is the only opportunity to have 2 days off!

The suffering has a goal in mind. At the end of this month, March, I will have enough money saved up to purchase a brand new motorcycle. It's been a goal of mine for the last year. I have had motorcycles before but, never a new one, always used ones that I had to fix up and work on to use. I am excited!
