The GeForce 505 OEM was a graphics card by NVIDIA, launched in February 2013. Built on the 40 nm process, and based on the GT216 graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 10.1. The GT216 graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 100 mm² and 486 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce GT 415 OEM, which uses the same GPU but has all 48 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the GeForce 505 OEM to reach the product's target shader count. It features 24 shading units, 12 texture mapping units and 8 ROPs. NVIDIA has placed 1,024 MB DDR3 memory on the card, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 615 MHz, memory is running at 700 MHz.
Being a single-slot card, its power draw is rated at 25 W maximum. Display outputs include: 1x DVI, 1x HDMI, 1x VGA. GeForce 505 OEM is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 1.0 x16 interface. The card measures 168 mm in length, and features a single-slot cooling solution.
