The GeForce 705A was a mobile graphics chip by NVIDIA, launched on July 1st, 2014. Built on the 40 nm process, and based on the GF119 graphics processor, in its GF119 B1 variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. Even though it supports DirectX 12, the feature level is only 11_0, which can be problematic with newer DirectX 12 titles. The GF119 graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 79 mm² and 292 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce GT 520 OEM, which uses the same GPU but has all 96 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the GeForce 705A to reach the product's target shader count. It features 48 shading units, 8 texture mapping units, and 4 ROPs. NVIDIA has paired 1,024 MB DDR3 memory with the GeForce 705A, which are connected using a 64-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 475 MHz, memory is running at 900 MHz.
Its power draw is rated at 15 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device. GeForce 705A is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 interface.
