The Quadro 3000M was a professional mobile graphics chip by NVIDIA, launched on February 22nd, 2011. Built on the 40 nm process, and based on the GF104 graphics processor, in its N12E-Q1-A1 variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. The GF104 graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 332 mm² and 1,950 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce GTX 460, which uses the same GPU but has all 336 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the Quadro 3000M to reach the product's target shader count. It features 240 shading units, 40 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs. NVIDIA has paired 2,048 MB GDDR5 memory with the Quadro 3000M, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 450 MHz, memory is running at 625 MHz (2.5 Gbps effective).
Being a mxm module card, the NVIDIA Quadro 3000M does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is rated at 75 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device.
