The Quadro FX 550M was a professional graphics card by NVIDIA, launched in March 2006. Built on the 90 nm process, and based on the G73 graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 9.0c. The G73 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 125 mm² and 177 million transistors. It features 12 pixel shaders and 5 vertex shaders, 12 texture mapping units and 8 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). NVIDIA has placed 512 MB GDDR3 memory on the card, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 480 MHz, memory is running at 500 MHz.
Its power draw is rated at 35 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Quadro FX 550M is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 1.0 x16 interface.
