The Radeon Pro 5500M is a professional mobile graphics chip by AMD, launched on November 13th, 2019. Built on the 7 nm process, and based on the Navi 14 graphics processor, in its Navi 14 ULA variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. The Navi 14 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 158 mm² and 6,400 million transistors. It features 1536 shading units, 96 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs. AMD has paired 8 GB GDDR6 memory with the Radeon Pro 5500M, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1000 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1450 MHz, memory is running at 1500 MHz (12 Gbps effective).
Its power draw is rated at 85 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device. Radeon Pro 5500M is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 4.0 x8 interface.
