The Voodoo5 5500 AGP was a performance-segment graphics card by 3dfx, launched in June 2000. Built on the 250 nm process, and based on the VSA-100 graphics processor, in its Napalm 26-320 variant, the card supports DirectX 6.0. Since Voodoo5 5500 AGP does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12, it might not be able to run all the latest games. The VSA-100 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 112 mm² and 14 million transistors. Voodoo5 5500 AGP combines two graphics processors to increase performance. It features 2 pixel shaders and 0 vertex shaders, 2 texture mapping units, and 2 ROPs, per GPU. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). 3dfx has paired 64 MB SDR memory with the Voodoo5 5500 AGP, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface per GPU (each GPU manages 32 MB). The GPU is operating at a frequency of 166 MHz, memory is running at 166 MHz.
