The Mobility FireGL V5250 was a professional graphics card by ATI, launched in January 2007. Built on the 90 nm process, and based on the M66 P graphics processor, in its GL variant, the card supports DirectX 9.0c. The M66 P graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 150 mm² and 157 million transistors. It features 12 pixel shaders and 5 vertex shaders, 12 texture mapping units and 12 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). ATI has placed 256 MB GDDR3 memory on the card, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 450 MHz, memory is running at 350 MHz.
We recommend the ATI Mobility FireGL V5250 for gaming with highest details at resolutions up to, and including, 1024x768.
Its power draw is not exactly known. Mobility FireGL V5250 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCIe 1.0 x16 interface.
