NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GTX
The GeForce 9600 GTX was a graphics card by NVIDIA, launched in May 2009. Built on the 65 nm process, and based on the G92 graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 10.0. The G92 graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 324 mm² and 754 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce GTS 150 OEM, which uses the same GPU but has all 128 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the GeForce 9600 GTX to reach the product's target shader count. It features 96 shading units, 48 texture mapping units and 16 ROPs. NVIDIA has placed 512 MB GDDR3 memory on the card, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 580 MHz, memory is running at 700 MHz.
We recommend the NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GTX for gaming with highest details at resolutions up to, and including, 1280x720.
Being a dual-slot card, the NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GTX draws power from 1x 6-pin power connectors, with power draw rated at 140 W maximum. Display outputs include: 2x DVI, 1x S-Video. GeForce 9600 GTX is connected to the rest of the system using a PCIe 2.0 x16 interface. The card measures 267 mm in length, and features a dual-slot cooling solution.
