AMD PlayStation 4 GPU
The PlayStation 4 GPU is a graphics card by AMD, launched in November 2013. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the Liverpool graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 11.1*. The Liverpool graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 348 mm². It features 1152 shading units, 72 texture mapping units and 32 ROPs. AMD has placed 8,192 MB GDDR5 memory on the card, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 800 MHz, memory is running at 1375 MHz.
