The Jetson TX2 is a performance-segment mobile graphics chip by NVIDIA, launched in 2016. Built on the 16 nm process, and based on the GP10B graphics processor, in its Tegra X2 variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. This ensures that all modern games will run on Jetson TX2. It features 256 shading units, 16 texture mapping units, and 16 ROPs. NVIDIA has paired 8 GB LPDDR4 memory with the Jetson TX2, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1300 MHz, memory is running at 1866 MHz.
Its power draw is rated at 15 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device. Jetson TX2 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 2.0 x4 interface. The card measures 87 mm in length, 50 mm in width, and features a igp cooling solution. Its price at launch was 249 US Dollars.
