The Volari Duo V8 Ultra was a graphics card by XGI, launched in September 2003. Built on the 130 nm process, and based on the XG40 graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 9.0. Volari Duo V8 Ultra combines two graphics processors to increase performance. It features 4 pixel shaders and 2 vertex shaders, 8 texture mapping units and 4 ROPs per GPU. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). XGI has placed 512 MB DDR memory on the card, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface per GPU (each GPU manages 256 MB). The GPU is operating at a frequency of 350 MHz, memory is running at 375 MHz.
Being a single-slot card, its power draw is not exactly known. Display outputs include: 1x DVI, 1x VGA, 1x S-Video. Volari Duo V8 Ultra is connected to the rest of the system using an AGP 8x interface.
