EK Water Blocks Ready with its Radeon R9 Fury X Water Block, Single-slot Capable

Slovenian liquid-cooling giant EK Water Blocks gave us a sneak-peek of its upcoming full-coverage water block for the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X. When launched, the block will likely come in two material options - exposed copper and nickel-plated copper; and a choice of clear acrylic and acetal tops. The block features a common coolant channel for the GPU and the VRM areas, and features a dense micro-channel lattice over the GPU area. The company may also separately sell a single-slot bracket for the card's display I/O.

What if DirectX 12 native multi-GPU supports any number of cards, and what if you could pack 7 of these cards on an X99 board with 7 slots?

And what if you caused a meltdown and recreated Chernobyl?

Would be crazy if possible, I would like to see it. ;)

EDIT: Oh snap, I just noticed it's my 5th year anniversary on the TPU forum! WOO.

What would be the practical purpose of such a setup?

Nice 1 slot and short of water connection could be on side of the card, but it would be better into 2 xGPU version that will be higher.

This would be the bomb on a dual pci-e mini itx board!

There are some water capable itx cases, right?

Come on AMD, Intel, get your board partners to make such a board.

+1 The standard is there. I think it's called DTX. But haven't seen many boards sticking to it. I wouldn't mind a mini ITX with 2 slots.

YES! pretty sure in a custom loop + a good block the Fury (vanilla, Nano, X) will do better (OC or perf O.o)
stay positive ... the card is not a failure and compete with the other one in the same price category ... so ... HAPPY TO SEE custom waterblock already ... (now just need Aquacomputer doing the same )

Well, that removes the pump whine. Check.

But the overclocking? The Fury X is already watercooled - all this block will do is allow a better audio experience. Why are people being weird today thinking Fury X will overclock more if you put a 'different' water block on it?

Unfortunately they only single slot card I know 980ti do would be a KIngpin Classified and that's a whore load of money :(

Yes, this looks like a very clear and beautiful design. I wish they are making for other cards too.

You could NOT plug in two 2000W PSUs into the same breaker in your house without it blowing

The single slot is nice... the card is meh

Uh, this isn't anything new. They've been making "single slot" water blocks for all high end cards for years.

AMD did a Linux setup with 8 of these, but Windows is limited to 6 I believe.

Only if they didn't have side by side display connectors making the card itself 2 wide.

This is true but how many of those cards are the best of of AMD or NVidia's lineup with a single slot output, 4 small monitor connections and as short as this card is? If I were to guess I would say none. Very sexy imo.

I do wish there was a nicer look way to connect the hoses though, it's very blocky and inelegant.
