Seasonic showed us a unique new innovation that could change the way you manage your cable clutter, particularly python-wrestling with your 24-pin cable behind the motherboard tray. Called simply the Seasonic Connect, the accessory is a PSU connection hub, or a disintegration of a conventional modular PSU's connector back-plane. A ruler-shaped structure runs behind your case's motherboard tray, with your PSU's various connectors (ATX, EPS, PCIe, SATA), on its either sides. Shorter-than-usual modular cables handle the "last-mile" connection to the various devices. A single ribbon cable runs between the Connect and the PSU, with high-capacity wires for the various voltage domains (+12V, 3.3V, 5V, etc.). Those into PSU cable modding would be breathing very heavily. The upcoming Prime GX750, an upper-mid range model with 80 Plus Gold chops, could be the first to implement this concept.

While at Computex 2019 we also had a chance to look at Zalman's power supply lineup which has seen some interesting additions in the FPSU800 and ZM-DFP 700 and 800 which are all new designs. The FPSU800 is billed as the worlds first 800-watt fanless power supply and uses DTH (Direct Touch Heat-pipes) and an all aluminium case to keep temperatures in check while also ensuring long term reliability. It is fully modular with RGB edge lighting keeping things neat and tidy with a touch of flair. In regards to the details, it is an 80 Plus Gold unit with capacitors rated at 105°C. When it comes to protection, the FPSU800 offers OPP, OCP, OTP, OVP, UVP, and SCP and has an Active-PFC design. As the name implies, only an 800-watt unit version is available.

Meanwhile, the ZM-DFP is a bit more gamer focused, available in 700-watt and 800-watt versions it features RGB Spectrum 120 mm and 80 mm fans. Much like the FPSU800, it is fully modular, 80-Plus Gold rated, and has the same protection mechanisms including an Active-PFC design.

Computer Upgrade King (CUK) is a new BTO (build-to-order) gaming PC manufacturer based out of Virginia, USA. Unlike other system integrators, CUK extends component choices all the way down to the cases. At Computex, the company showed off its Stratos Mini high-end desktop (HEDT), powered by an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX processor, AMD Radeon VII graphics, 32 GB of quad-channel DDR4-3000 memory, an ASRock X399M Taichi motherboard, and a SeaSonic Prime 1300W 80 Plus Gold PSU. Also shown off was the Continuum Mini, a compact powerhouse built around a mini-ITX motherboard. Its chops include the Core i9-9900K processor seated on an MSI MPG Z390I Gaming Edge AC motherboard; GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics, 16 GB of dual-channel DDR4-3200 Apacer NoX memory; and a 750W power supply.

Silverstone today announced two new introductions to their Strider PSU lineup, in the form of the 50 W and 650 W Strider Gold S PSUs. Both of these feature a (you guessed it) 80 Plus Gold certification for power efficiency, whilst being extremely small (140 mm in depth) - and fully modular, as most users would like them to be.

Both power supplies are of the single +12V rail type, with SilverStone quoting a strict ±3% voltage regulation with low ripple/noise. A 120 mm fan takes care of cooling requirements, and the PSUs carry Over-power, Over-current, Over-voltage, Over-temperature, Under-voltage and Short-circuit protection. Reatail pricing stands at 77.60 EUR (excluding VAT) for the the 550W ST55F-GS (which packs in three 80 x 15mm PWM fans) and 91.00 EUR (excluding VAT) for the 650W ST55F-GS.

FSP at CES made its case for computer cases (ahem) and power supplies alike, looking to cement itself as a viable, gamer-oriented choice in some of its design principles and product styling. The CMT 520 Plus, for example, is an ATX case with support for up to seven system fans that has four preinstalled ARGB fans, compatible with RGB controller software form most motherboard vendors for a seamless experience. Tempered glasses on the black body design take a subdued, mass-market approach which, nevertheless, doesn't get old.

The CMT 340 features much the same design principles, though some additional material touches present on the CMT 520 Plus are now absent, and the footprint of the chassis is now reduced, which brings the maximum number of supported system fans down to four.

We might need more than the fingers on our hands to count the number of times upcoming products have been inadvertently been leaked by a reseller, and CORSAIR is the latest to have joined this list when not one, but two separate Reddit users shared details of the upcoming SF750 80 Plus Platinum SFX form factor power supply. For those who came in late, CORSAIR began their venture into the SFX form factor for PSUs with the 80 Plus rated SF600 and SF450, at 600 and 450 W respectively, and with a relatively large 92 mm fan that resulted in an efficient, quieter-than-average small form factor PSU. This was followed up by the SF600 and SF450 80 Plus Platinum rated PSUs, and now we have word of the third entry to this series.

CORSAIR, Silverstone, and a few others have been trying to one-up each other in the PSU power density metric, and the leaked SF750 will definitely be among the leaders there. The leak came up via an error in the publication of user manuals, as confirmed by Jon "Jonnyguru" Gerow himself, and the product appears to follow the trend of the series with a zero RPM mode at low loads, and plenty of cable outputs. Interestingly, there appear to be two 8-pin EPS connectors for those wanting to go with an SFF build with an Intel or AMD HEDT platform as well. The SFF market never really got the boom it was promising, so time will tell whether this will be a positive boost or not.

Corsair refreshed its VS-series entry-level power-supplies with three new models, the VS450W (CP-9020170), VS550W (CP-9020171), and VS650W (CP-9020172). The three are differentiated from the models they succeed, with a new compact body, and a reduced length of just 125 mm. Given its 100% fixed cabling, the extra clearance behind could come handy. The units are cooled by a 120 mm fan with an updated fan-profile to improve noise output.

Under the hood, the new VS-series PSUs continue to ship with single +12V rail designs, 80 Plus (below-Bronze) certification, ATX12V v2.31 / EPS 2.92 compliance with support for the latest Intel Core C-states, and protections against over/under-voltage, overload, and short-circuit. All three models have the same connector loadout, including one each of 24-pin ATX, 4+4 pin EPS; two 6+2 pin PCIe, seven SATA power, two 4-pin Molex, and one Berg. The refreshed Corsair VS-series PSUs are backed by 3-year warranties, and are expected to be priced at USD $39.99, $49.99, and $69.99, for the 450W, 550W, and 650W variants, respectively.

Mining is a billion unit business by any metric you use: be it in hardware components sold, dollars generated for miners, and energy consumption, mining is one of the most florescent businesses in recent years. However, no matter which side of the fence you stand in, there's one thing both miners and users usher in: enough PSU power to enable them to attain their particular use cases with both high-efficiency and peace of mind.

Adding to the color options available for your own rig's color profile (without you having to do the paint job yourself,) Corsair has now announced a white version of their popular RMx series of PSUs. The new additions to the RMx line-up come in a glacier white color scheme with black accents (almost a negative of their previously released RMx series coloring.) Corsair went out of its way and made it so that even the cable's sleeving (which keeps its RMx-known modularity) is in this white color scheme as well, so you can rest easy that no part of your rig - not even the cables - will stand out against your color scheme - at least where Corsair is concerned.

Aerocool showed off its KCAS (does it sound like "kickass"?) series upper-mainstream power supplies (PSUs). The lineup includes the KCAS-G (fixed-cabling) and KCAS-GM (partially-modular cabling), the company showed off their 850W models. The PSUs feature enough juice and straws for a high-end gaming PC build with up to three graphics cards. A star-attraction here, is the 120 mm cooling fan with RGB LED lighting. Under the hood, the KCAS series PSUs feature single +12V rail design, with 80 Plus Gold switching efficiency, APFC, and most common electrical protection features.

Here are some of the first pictures of XIGMATEK's two new lines of SFX form-factor power-supplies (PSUs), the SFX80S and SFX120F. The SFX80S comes in 350W and 450W variants, and gets its name from the 80 mm fan which cools it. Under the hood is a single +12V rail design with 80 Plus efficiency. The units feature fixed cabling with one or two 6+2 pin PCIe power connections. The SFX120F, on the other hand, is the slightly more premium, albeit larger, variant. It gets its name from the 120 mm fan which cools it. Available in 500W and 600W variants, these PSUs offer fully modular cabling with up to two 6+2 pin PCIe connectors; and 80 Plus Gold efficiency.

SilverStone has announced new models for its Essential series of PSUs, which aim to bring quality to a lower pricing level than the more premium offerings, and allow SilverStone to cater to the high-volume market at the same time. These PSUs are Sirtec-made, and do cut some corners in order to address some aggressive pricing targets. Case in point: SilverStone rates these PSUs for 40ºC operation, a full 10ºC lower than the ATX specification defines, and includes only a few protections, namely Over Power, Over Voltage, and Short Circuit. The lacking OTP (Over Temperature Protection) would seem to be the best feature for such a model with a lower-rated operating temperature, but alas, this is what SilverStone offers.

The ET-550B, ET-650B are 80 Plus Bronze certified, and their +12V rails can deliver 504 and 600 W respectively. Their combined +3.3, +5V rating stands at 110 W for the 550B, and 120 W for the 650B. The cabling is fixed on both options, black-braided, and cooling is taken care of by tour average 120 mm Sleeve Bearing Fan. The PCIe connectors stand at 2x PCIe (1x 6+2 pin, 1x 6 pin) for the ET-550B, while the ET-650B doubles that amount to two of each. The dimensions stand at 150 mm (W) x 86 mm (H) x 140 mm (D). European pricing seems to be the sweet spot for these PSUs, with the 550B coming in at around 53,50€ and the 650B upping the ante to 60,60€ (prices excluding VAT, however.) In the US, I don't expect these to sell well if they keep their pricing, where the 650B currently retails for $90.

Cooler Master, a leader in design and manufacturing computer components and peripherals, on Tuesday announced the launch the newest addition to its power supply range, the MasterWatt Lite 230V. The Power Supply is the survival kit for reliable, affordable power. Built on simple reliability, in the box are all the essentials of a reliable engine so you don't have to think about it. Cooler Master added higher-end perks like Active PFC and PWM technology for more stability, and made sure the MasterWEatt Lite met ErP 2013 and CE ratings for safety and low energy impact, making it the survival kit for reliable, affordable power.

At CES 2017, Cooler Master unveiled a limited edition of their MasterWatt line of power supply units: the MasterWatt Author ME 1200 W. As the name implies, this is a 1200 W power supply, rated at 80 Plus Titanium efficiency levels (which means >94% energy efficiency), though Cooler Master claims this PSU is able to achieve >95% efficiency levels. Built exclusively with Murata components, Cooler Master are presenting this one as the best power supply they've ever made, and they're therefore pitting it as a special, limited edition PSU, of which only a few thousand samples will be produced and sold: at an over $1000 price-tag.

EVGA has announced today the evolution of their highly-regarded SuperNOVA G2 - the aptly named SuperNOVA G3. EVGA SuperNOVA power supplies are well-known for their extreme efficiency, performance and reliability, with the companies' series of power supplies having won over 70 awards from leading review sites for the last 3 years. With these new power supplies, EVGA took the best features of the award-winning G2 lineup and made them even better. The SuperNOVA G3's smaller size, improved performance and a new Hydraulic Dynamic Bearing fan give you ultra-quiet performance with an increased lifespan.

The new SuperNOVA G3 feature fully modular design with a reduced size, at only 150mm long, which EVGA stresses comes accompanied with an improvement in performance, features, and efficiency, with the company announcing an over 91% efficiency rating. All of this with a new, Hydraulic Dynamic Bearing Fan, which EVGA claims has better performance, quieter operation and longer lifespan, with the companies' ECO Intelligent Thermal Control System eliminating fan noise at low to medium loads.

Here are some of the first pictures of an FSP Dagger series modular power supply in the SFX form-factor. The company is readying 500W and 600W models, and displayed the 500W model. The company believes that the 500W model has enough juice to power a high-end VR-Ready machine driven by a GeForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card, and had an HTC Vive and SteamVR enabled machine set up to demonstrate that. The Dagger series features 80 Plus Gold efficiency, DC-to-DC switching, 100% Japan-made capacitors, and fully modular cabling with flat cables.

FSP is also giving finishing touches to its first SFX form-factor PSUs targeted at SFF gaming PC builds, with the Dagger series. These units feature fully modular cabling, with enough juice and straws for high-end CPU and graphics hardware. The series initially features 500W and 600W models, boasting of 80 Plus Gold efficiency ratings, DC-to-DC switching, and complies with the latest ATX v2.4 specifications. An 80 mm dual-bearing fan keeps the unit cool. The company will reveal more information, including tentative launch, at its 2016 Computex booth.

Aerocool announced that its XPredator line of high-performance PSUs are now available. The series includes the 1000W XPredator 1000GM, and the 750W XPredator 750GM. The lineup features 80 Plus Gold efficiency, semi-modular cabling, a single +12V rail design, DC-DC switching between the various voltage outputs, and a temperature threshold-triggered fan profile. The 1000W model features eight 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors, while the 750W model features four. The XPredator 1000GM is priced at US $169.99, while the XPredator 750GM goes for $109.99.

Cooltek announces the Value 80 Plus EU line of power supplies. With our new Cooltek Value Serie 80 Plus EU (CVSE) we offer a new range of particular stable and highly reliable ATX power supplies with an outstanding price-performance-ratio. The power supplies are 80 Plus EU certified and offer an average efficiency of more than 82% at 230V. The CVSE PSUs are thus compliant with the Ecodesign guideline 2009/125/EG and the associated regulation No. 617/2013.

The power supplies are especially designed for classic office- and graphics-applications, the more powerful models can also be used for gaming systems. AeroCool announced the XPredator GM series module power-supplies. These 80 Plus Gold rated units come in four mid-tier wattage models, such as 550W, 650W, 750W, and 1000W. On offer, are partially modular cabling, with enough juice and straws for single graphics card gaming machines on the 550W model, dual ones on the 650W and 750W models, and triple card ones on the 1000W model. Under the hood, the XPredator GM series features DC-DC switching, a single +12V rail design, active electrical protections, Core C6/C7 power-state support, and active PFC. The 1000W model relies on a 140 mm fan to keep cool, the other models feature 120 mm spinners. AeroCool didn't reveal pricing.
