Selection of Five AMD A520 Motherboards Pictured

AMD earlier today formally launched its A520 entry-level desktop chipset, and while we await product launches from motherboard vendors, AMD put out pictures of at least five top implementations by them. We begin with the GIGABYTE A520 AORUS Elite, the company's top product based on the chipset. Once again, GIGABYTE appears to have a feature-rich ATX board based on an AMD chipset, following its $300 implementation of the B550 as an AORUS Master product.

This board appears to have all the basics for a cost-effective gaming PC build, including reinforced PCIe x16, an 8-phase CPU VRM with heatsinks over even the vSoC phases, a premium onboard audio solution that could be ALC1200-based, and provision for ARGB embellishments. MSI is bringing an Arsenal Gaming product to the party, with the MAG A520M Vector Wi-Fi, which is built in the narrow Micro-ATX form-factor, with a chunky VRM heatsink, 802.11ac WLAN, and two memory slots. ASUS rolled out the TUF Gaming A520M-PLUS, which too builds on the strengths of its TUF Gaming brand, with enlarged heatsinks, reinforced PCIe slot, four memory slots, and preparation for ARGB. ASRock unveiled the A520M Pro4, an entry-level board that covers all the bases, including preparation for WLAN, four memory slots, M.2 heatsink like the MSI board, and a second M.2 slot. Lastly, there's the BIOSTAR A520MH, which we detailed in its press-release here.

Abkoncore Intros AL700 SYNC Full-Tower Case

Both the right- and left side panels are made of 4 mm-thick tinted tempered glass. Inside the Abkoncore AL700 SYNC, you get a conventional horizontally-partitioned layout. The upper partition with the motherboard tray serves up room for graphics cards up to 40.5 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 17 cm in height.

The motherboard tray also features a graphics card reinforcement that can be aligned with any expansion slot. You get 8 conventional and 2 perpendicular expansion slots (riser not included). Storage features include two 3.5-inch/2.5-inch trays, and two 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive mounts behind the motherboard tray. Ventilation includes three each of 120 mm vents along the front- and top panels, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. Three front- and one rear (pre-installed) HR120 ARGB fans are included, as is an 8-channel ARGB controller. Front panel connectivity includes two USB 3.x type-A, one type-C, and HDA jacks. Measuring 455 mm x 490 mm x 232 mm (DxHxW), the case dry-weighs 13.6 kg. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Lian Li Launching a Budget-Friendly PC Case With the LANCOOL 215

Lian Li is known at the higher-than-mainstream pricing bracket of the PC case world. The company made a name for itself with innovative-looking, angled motherboard brackets and well thought-out and engineered case layouts and materials, but has usually served the higher end of the spectrum. The company seems to be dipping its toes ever more slightly in the budget-friendly space with it's LANCOOL 215, though, which is bound to be releases this August.

The LANCOOL 215 will offer support for both standard and EATX motherboards, with the system being cooled by 2x 200 mm ARGB front fans that pull fresh (fresher in some places around the globe) air from outside the case through a perforated front panel. Hot air is then exhausted through a pre-installed rear 120 mm fan (non-RGB). A 360 mm radiator is supported in the front of the chassis, while the top supports a 280 mm one for added flexibility. But some would argue that having a good case for your PC hardware isn't enough unless you can showcase your PC hardware picks for your current build, so the LANCOOL 215 uses a tempered glass side panel for added "cool" factor. There's also an ARGB Lian Li logo on the bottom of the front fascia of the LANCOOL 215, and a PSU shroud which is practically standard these days. The best news? The LANCOOL 215 from Lian Li will be available for $69.99.
