CORSAIR Teases Upcoming Amazon Prime Day Deals

Amazon's now-annual Prime Day event in July is due to kickoff in less than 24 hours, and this year some of the deals actually look to be proper sales as opposed to the retailer and its partner aiming to reduce inventory of fluff no one purchases. Indeed, we have seen companies already make mention of items that will go on sale on Monday, July 16 to generate interest. CORSAIR must have decided this was a good idea as well, as we received a list of their products that would be available for a lower price than usual during the event. One such product is the Crystal series 570X RGB mid-tower case, which has an MSRP of $179.99 that includes three of their SP120 RGB fans and integrated lighting control, and will be available for $139.99 during said event. Read past the break for more of the teased deals, as well as links on Amazon.com for when they go live.

Corsair Readies Hydro H100i Pro Cooler with Zero RPM Fan Mode

Corsair is giving finishing touches to the Hydro H100i Pro, an all-in-one liquid CPU cooler designed to one-up the Hydro H100i series. Its USP is the "zero RPM fan mode," in which a fan-controller integrated with the pump-block turns off the fans when the coolant is below a temperature threshold. Corsair believes this could help most gamers overcome their biggest gripe with liquid cooling - that the fans keep running.

The pump-block of the H100i Pro looks similar to the H100i, with its silver-finish octagonal shape, and RGB LED ornament that can be controlled by Corsair iCue software. A pair of ML120 fans are included with this cooler, to ventilate the 240 mm x 120 mm radiator. Each of these fans spin between 400 to 2,400 RPM, pushing up to 75 CFM of air, with a noise output up to 37 dBA. The cooler will support most socket types, including LGA2066, LGA115x, and AM4.

CORSAIR and Clutch Gaming Partner to Move Esports Into High Gear

CORSAIR , a world leader in PC gaming peripherals and enthusiast components, today announced a major new partnership with Clutch Gaming, a professional esports organization with a team in the North American League of Legends Championship Series. Clutch Gaming is the first venture into the world of esports by Tilman Fertitta, the owner of the Houston Rockets of the NBA, an American basketball team with an enormous international presence and a championship pedigree.

Clutch Gaming is innovating in the esports space by bringing the same empirical, analytics-based performance approach the Rockets use to the world of esports. The ability to analyze player performance beyond the skin-deep views of what public perception allows them to drill deeper into analysis that goes way beyond GPM (Gold per minute) or KDA (Kill/Death/Assist Ratio).

Corsair Launches MP300 Budget M.2 NVMe 3D TLC NAND SSD Series

Corsair today launched a new series of SSDs under their brand. The MP300 carry a more budget affiliation, offering a high-speed NVMe solution (which Corsair says is up to three times faster than SATA) for relatively low prices. Like other budget NVMe solutions, the Corsair MP300 runs on a PCIe 2x bus, instead of the higher performance 4x (which carries higher cost for the controllers, hence, the price savings).

With that bus, Corsair is quoting up to 1600 MB/s read speeds, and up to 1040 MB/s writes, which are still more than enough for mainstream workloads. The usage of 3D TLC NAND also helps in the cost savings, naturally - and doesn't carry the same performance and longevity issues as it may have had in its inception. Corsair is selling these drives at 120, 240, 480 and 960 GB capacities, at €59.99, €94.99, €154.99, and €314.99 respectively.

Corsair Developing Gaming Monitors

Corsair has diversified a lot from its origins as a memory module manufacturer, and the company can easily make up everything other than the processor, motherboard, and monitor in your gaming desktop. That list of exclusions is about to get smaller, as the company is looking to enter the gaming monitors market. The move came to light as an Indeed job listing by the company reveal that it's looking for product managers for monitors. The listing reveals that Corsair's foray into monitors is still at a nascent stage, and it still needs to figure out a strategy to approach this market. We give it at least a year before Corsair can have a product lineup. Knowing Corsair, it could adopt a bottom-down approach, with a high-end product launch first.

Corsair Obsidian 1000D Leaked to Amazon

It's been a while since Corsair pushed the upper end of its Obsidian series high-end PC cases. The Obsidian 900D has held the fort since 2013, but could be getting dated in the wake of newer standards such as tempered glass, RGB lighting, newer connectors, etc. Corsair is careful not to just make a mash of glass and RGB lighting; when designing its upcoming flagship case, the Obsidian 1000D super-tower (model: CC-9011115-WW), which leaked to the web thanks to an eager Amazon listing, in which it's priced at USD $500. The Obsidian 1000D retains the "for grownups only" styling of the series, with a beautiful combination of curved tempered glass, matte black aluminium, and subtlety in the amount of RGB LED lighting elements on use. The feature-set of this full-tower will blow any high-end case out of the water.

The front, sides, and top panels are made of curved tempered glass with aluminium inserts, and enough discrete air inlets for the countless fan mounts inside. The front-panel features four USB 3.1 type-A, and two type-C ports; in addition to audio jacks. Connectors are framed by RGB lighting diffusers. The case is highly modular, and you can either choose between storage-heavy configurations, or cooling-heavy configuration that frees up room for multiple liquid cooling loops. The rear I/O can be configured to be perpendicular to the plane of the motherboard with 8+2 slots, or parallel to its plane, with 5+2 slots. You can install E-ATX and everything smaller, but longer 10-slot form-factors such as HPTX and XL-ATX are a notable exclusion.
