Corsair unveiled four new Vengeance LPX series DDR4 memory kits tailored for high-end desktops based on the Xeon W-3175X processor. Of these, one is a 96 GB (12 x 8 GB) kit, and the other four 192 GB (12 x 16 GB), which max out the processor's memory support. The 96 GB kit (CMK96GX4M12P4000C19) ticks at DDR4-4000 MHz, and 19-23-23-45 timings at 1.35 V. The 192 GB kit comes in four flavors based on speed: DDR4-2667, DDR4-3200, DDR4-3600, and DDR4-4000. Corsair has tested the XMP 2.0 profiles of these modules to work on the ASUS ROG Dominus motherboard.

The top-dog 192 GB DDR4-4000 kit (CMK192GX4M12P4000C19) is priced at USD $2,999. It achieves DDR4-4000 with 19-23-23-45 timings and 1.35 V. The 192 GB DDR4-3600 kit (CMK192GX4M12P3600C18) goes for $2,319, with 18-19-19-39 timings, and 1.35 V. The 192 GB DDR4-3200 kit (CMK192GX4M12P3200C16) is significantly cheaper at $1,719, and ticks at 16-18-18-36. Lastly, the most "affordable" 192 GB DDR4-2666 kit (CMK192GX4M12P2666C16) can be yours for $1,584. You get 16-18-18-35 timings at 1.2 V. The DDR4-4000 models of both the 96 GB and 192 GB kits include a set of two Vengeance Airflow memory coolers.

Corsair is readying mostly-white variants of its LL120 RGB case fans. A variant of the LL120 from 2017, the LL120 RGB White features an all-white frame with contrasting black frame rubber inserts, a white silicone diffuser along the bore of the frame with 16 addressable RGB LEDs, a pearl-white finish impeller, and a contrasting black impeller hub sticker. The fan takes in 4-pin PWM input to do its job, and a 3-pin addressable RGB input for its lighting. It spins at speeds of up to 2,200 RPM, pushing up to 63 CFM of air, at a noise output of up to 36 dBA. It has a rated lifespan of 40,000 hours. Corsair is selling the LL120 RGB White in individual packs, and 3-fan packs with an added iCUE RGB LED controller. The two go on sale on the 15th of February.

Corsair is giving final touches to the mostly-white Platinum SE variants of its Hydro H100-series all-in-one liquid CPU coolers. Pictured here is the H100i Platinum SE, a variant of the original Platinum H100i Platinum launched last November. What's interesting is the level of whitewashing Corsair has done to the cooler. Not only is the radiator frame white, but also the radiator fins. The fiber-weave sheath around the coolant tubes are white, too. White also dominates the fan frames and impellers. There are some interesting contrasting black bits such as the main body of the pump-block, its crown, and the vibration dampening mounts, not to mention the included screws. Corsair is expected to launch these coolers on the 15th of February.

Corsair over the last week sneaked in a variant of its Carbide 275 mid-tower chassis that comes with noise-reduction, the Carbide 275Q. The new model is generally available on Amazon for USD $89.99, a $20 premium over the original that features tempered glass panels. Much of the premium isn't just toward the noise-dampening, but also the included 5-channel fan-controller. The Carbide 275Q features noise-absorbing foam along the inner walls of its side panels, which are now opaque matte-black. Much like the original, the 275Q features three 120 mm front fan intakes that guide air through the top and rear exhausts. You get room for graphics cards up to 37 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 17 cm in height. You still get two vertical expansion slots in addition to 7 normally located slots, even though there's no window to show off your graphics card. The rest of its features are carried over from the original.

Corsair has released their first own-branded thermal paste solution, which joins the already dozens of products on the market. Thermal paste (or any sort of TIM - Thermal Interface Material) essentially serves to increase thermal conductivity between two surfaces, such as your CPU and your cooler's heatsink.

Corsair says the TM30 thermal paste they've released features low viscosity (needed to fully penetrate microscopic abrasions in the interfaced materials and pushing low-conductivity air out), and is based on a zinc-oxide compound. Corsair say TM30 offers up to 6º of cooler operation compared to the admittedly ambiguous "common thermal paste". Corsair also said that TM30 can and will last for years without drying, cracking, or change in consistency, thus ensuring a long lifespan in the best thermal conductivity conditions possible. Corsair's TM30 is available for €6.90 / $7.98 per syringe. Sadly, quantities aren't mentioned.

While we covered some of Lenovo's products at CES already, we took a closer look at the Legion series of laptops which includes the Y740 and Y540 models. The Y740 comes in 17-inch and 15.6-inch flavors and is the offering most likely to intrigue enthusiast gamers as it comes with up to an Intel Core i7-8750H processor which has 6c/12t, 2.2 GHz base clock and 4.1 GHz boost clocks. To go with that is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q for that should have no problems delivering an exceptional gaming experience considering Lenovo has paired it with a solid 1080p, 300 nits, 144 Hz, G-Sync display. Potential buyers also have the choice of a Dolby Vision HDR 400 500 nit display as well. Memory capacity ranges from 8 GB all the way to 32 GB of 2666 MHz DDR4. The choice for faster 3200 MHz Corsair memory is also available.

When it comes to storage, there are multiple choices including up to a 512 GB PCIe SSD/ 512 GB SATA SSD or 2TB HDD. Powering it all is a 57 Wh 3 cell battery in the 15.6-inch model while the 17-inch gets a 76 Wh 4 cell battery. All told the unit's base configuration starts at 2.2 kg / 4.8 lbs and 2.9 kg / 6.3 lbs for the 15.6-inch and 17-inch respectively. In terms of size the smaller of the two measures 362 x 267 x 19.95 mm (14.2 x 10.5 x 0.78 inches) while the larger offering is 413 x 305 x 21.95 mm (16.25 x 12 x 0.66 inches). Connectivity options are quite plentiful on the Y740 and include 1x USB-C ( Thunderbolt, DisplayPort, USB 3.1), 1x HDMI, 1x LAN, 3x USB 3.1 Gen2 and finally a single mini-DP port. Other features include an anti-ghost Corsair ICUE RGB backlit keyboard, RGB chassis lighting, Killer WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and a solid aluminum chassis. The Lenovo Y740 should be available starting in February.

Corsair showed off their ONE series of desktops at CES with the ONE PRO i180 workstation for content creators taking center stage. Also on display were the ONE i160, and ONE i140 for prosumers which round Corsair's ONE series of desktop systems. The internal design for this release has been entirely revamped, allowing for exceptional performance with support for processors of up to 165-watts and graphics cards of up to 300-watts without increasing noise or size. Compared to their older Corsair ONE Elite, the new systems are faster quieter and cooler running across the entire range. The ONE i140 packs an Intel Core i7-9700K alongside an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666 memory, 480 GB NVMe SSD, 2TB HDD, and a 600-watt SF600 80-PLUS Gold power supply for $2999 and is available immediately.

Corsair at CES 2019 unveiled two new innovations, the Slipstream wireless interface, and Capellix high-density aRGB LEDs. The company implemented the two across its upcoming gaming peripherals. These include three new mice, and a new keyboard. Among the mice is the new 2019 Harpoon Wireless RGB, detailed in our older article, M65 RGB Elite mouse, Ironclaw RGB, and a new variant of its K68 keyboard that implements both Slipstream and Capellix.

The M65 RGB Elite is a claw-friendly packs a PMW-3391 sensor with 18,000 dpi resolution, 97-115 dpi adjustable weights, and an improved side button cluster. This mouse is expected to be priced at $59.99. The Ironclaw, despite its name, is optimized for palm grips, with the same PMW-3391 sensor as the M65 RGB Elite, 105 g fixed weight, and the same $59.99 price-tag. The K68 RGB Elite Slipstream is a variant of the K68 that's been refined with two of Corsair's latest innovations, although Corsair didn't mention price.

Capellix is an innovation new RGB LED design by Corsair, which has significantly reduced size, power-draw, while offering increased brightness and durability, compared to conventional SMD LEDs. You can read all about these in our older article. The first product to implement Capellix is Corsair's upcoming flagship memory series, the 2019 Dominator Platinum RGB. These modules each feature 12 individually addressable Capellix aRGB LEDs, which take up significantly lower PCB real-estate than SMD LEDs on older generations of Corsair memory modules.

A silicone diffuser puts out light from these diodes through slits along the sides and top of the modules. The LEDs are fully compatible with Corsair iCUE software, in addition to pretty much any addressable-RGB software. The modules themselves feature hand-binned DRAM chips, cooled by die-cast, micro-arc oxidized anodized aluminium heatspreaders. The first of these could be out in February 2019.

Capellix is the second of Corsair's two big innovations unveiled at CES 2019, the other being the Slipstream wireless technology. Capellix is a new LED that is considerably smaller than a conventional surface-mount (SMD) RGB LED, with a volume of just 0.2 mm³ versus 2.8 mm³ of SMD LEDs. Such small sizes are achieved by stripping away the package layer of the diode, and bringing its substrate layer directly in touch with the PCB. Corsair has some big numbers to speak for Capellix.

A Capellix LED, according to Corsair, is up to 60 percent brighter, up to 60 percent more efficient, up to 40 percent lower power-draw, and has up to 35 percent higher service life than an SMD LED. Its smaller size also lets designers place more of them in a limited PCB area, increasing the number of diodes putting out light through a silicone or acrylic diffuser, thereby increasing the "resolution" if you will, of the RGB LED embellishment. The biggest use-case of these diodes, however, would be wireless peripherals, which could benefit from the lower power draw to improve battery life. Corsair will implement Capellix across its entire lineup of RGB LED illuminated products, including memory modules, case fans, wireless gaming peripherals,

Corsair at its CES 2019 presser detailed key in-house, under-the-hood innovations that will be part of its gaming peripherals for years to come. The first of these is called Slipstream, and is developed to improve latencies (in turn responsiveness) of wireless gaming peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and even headsets. It combines existing physical-layer technologies such as 2.4 GHz radio, with a proprietary protocol-layer by Corsair that delivers twice the packets per millisecond, thereby reducing latency. This protocol-layer is different from Bluetooth, although all Slipstream devices will maintain compatibility with Bluetooth.

At the heart of what Corsair is trying to do, is a technique called IFS (intelligent frequency switching), a process that continuously scans the spectrum for radio channels that are most optimal (have least interference and best strength), and switches to that frequency/channel. This switching happens at a sub-millisecond rate, and the effective response-times claimed by Corsair are impressive - 0.5 ms to move a packet of data from the peripheral to the receiver (or vice versa). Corsair is also working on improving wireless signal strength of all devices that implement Slipstream, so your peripherals can work flawlessly up to 20 meters (65 ft) away from your PC (bodes well for living room gamers).

Most gamers probably have only 2 out of 4 DDR4 DIMM slots populated in their rigs, with the vacant memory slots presenting an eyesore for some. These "modules" add a grand total of 0 bits to your system memory and are clocked lower than a tuning fork, but draw power from the DIMM slots to drive the RGB LED lighting that can run in sync with your real Vengeance RGB Pro modules. Corsair is using an addressable RGB setup, so motherboard-based software can control or synchronize them with the rest of your lighting. Corsair is offering these 2-pack Light Enhancement Kits in two flavors - black and white. Both variants are priced at $39.99. If you're buying pre-built desktops with Vengeance RGB Pro, insist on finding out if they've used one of these to make a single-channel setup look like dual-channel.

Why is it that each time something leaks from CORSAIR, it is from one of their resellers? This time, it was France-based LDLC who decided to show off an entire system filled with parts from CORSAIR's upcoming Hydro X business unit at Paris Games Week recently. This is our first look at CORSAIR's entry to custom watercooling, which was teased a couple of months ago, and looks like the inevitable launch will be sooner rather than later.

Each of the new entries in the acclaimed Hydro Series range is cooled by a pair of CORSAIR ML PRO Series RGB magnetic levitation PWM fans, delivering the superb airflow and high static pressure needed to cool today's hottest CPUs. We might need more than the fingers on our hands to count the number of times upcoming products have been inadvertently been leaked by a reseller, and CORSAIR is the latest to have joined this list when not one, but two separate Reddit users shared details of the upcoming SF750 80 Plus Platinum SFX form factor power supply. For those who came in late, CORSAIR began their venture into the SFX form factor for PSUs with the 80 Plus rated SF600 and SF450, at 600 and 450 W respectively, and with a relatively large 92 mm fan that resulted in an efficient, quieter-than-average small form factor PSU. This was followed up by the SF600 and SF450 80 Plus Platinum rated PSUs, and now we have word of the third entry to this series.

CORSAIR, Silverstone, and a few others have been trying to one-up each other in the PSU power density metric, and the leaked SF750 will definitely be among the leaders there. The leak came up via an error in the publication of user manuals, as confirmed by Jon "Jonnyguru" Gerow himself, and the product appears to follow the trend of the series with a zero RPM mode at low loads, and plenty of cable outputs. Interestingly, there appear to be two 8-pin EPS connectors for those wanting to go with an SFF build with an Intel or AMD HEDT platform as well. The SFF market never really got the boom it was promising, so time will tell whether this will be a positive boost or not.
