EVGA at its Computex 2019 booth showcased its flagship HEDT motherboard, the SR-3 DARK. This socket LGA3647 motherboard based on Intel C621 chipset, is purpose-built for squeezing the most out of the Xeon W-3175X 28-core HEDT processor Intel rolled out last year to challenge the Threadripper WX. The SR-3 DARK competes with only two other motherboards of its kind, the ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme, and GIGABYTE C621 Aorus Xtreme. EVGA deployed many of the innovations it introduced with the Z390 DARK that make it arguably the best LGA1151 motherboard for record-seeking overclocking.

For starters, the CPU socket is oriented sideways, just like the Z390 DARK, to position the DDR4 memory slots north and south of the socket. There's only one slot per memory channel, so you don't have to worry about multi-slot topology hindering your memory OC in any way. The CPU VRM is located east of the socket, directly next to the board's angled power inputs that include one 24-pin ATX and four 8-pin EPS inputs! There are additional inputs such as two SATA power, and one 6-pin PCIe, to stabilize the other power domains. The VRM area, along with the C621 PCH, are liquid cooled by a monoblock embedded into an aluminium heatsink. This block has a clear-acrylic top, and its coolant channel runs over the CPU VRM first, before guiding the coolant through a fin-lattice over the PCH, and then onto the outlet.

Can you believe it's been 10 years since MSI launched its flagship Lighting brand of graphics cards? Turns out we reviewed our first MSI Lightning card more than a decade ago! Named something along the lines of RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z 10th Anniversary Special Edition, the card will look significantly different than the RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z, and will ship with an on-card OLED display that puts out real-time monitoring data of the card's temperatures, clock-speeds, fan-speeds, voltages, memory utilization, or pretty much whatever you program it to. The card's cooler will also feature a more richly detailed RGB LED embellishment all around, and will be designed like a piece of jewelry. MSI may also touch up the card's electricals, BIOS, and overclocking-headroom to rival EVGA RTX 2080 Ti KINGPIN. MSI will unveil this card at the 2019 Computex exhibition.

EVGA today released its flagship graphics card, the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti KINGPIN, designed by the legendary Vince "KINGPIN" Lucido himself. Unlike past generations of KINGPIN-branded flagships by EVGA, this card features an all-in-one closed-loop liquid cooling solution that's factory-fitted. The cold-plate of this CLC cools the GPU and memory, while a dedicated copper heatsink pulls heat from the VRM, and is ventilated by a 100 mm fan. Here are some of the first pictures of EVGA's and GIGABYTE's upcoming GeForce GTX 1660 graphics cards reportedly slated for launch later this week. It should come as no surprise that these cards resemble the companies' GTX 1660 Ti offerings, since they're based on the same 12 nm "TU116" silicon, with fewer CUDA cores. The underlying PCBs could be slightly different as the GTX 1660 uses older generation 8 Gbps GDDR5 memory instead of 12 Gbps GDDR6. The "TU116" silicon is configured with 1,408 CUDA cores out of the 1,536 physically present; the memory amount is 6 GB, across a 192-bit wide memory bus. The GTX 1660 baseline price is reportedly USD $219, and the card replaces the GTX 1060 6 GB from NVIDIA's product stack.

EVGA is bringing two designs to the market, a short-length triple-slot card with a single fan; and a more conventional longer card with 2-slot, dual-fan design. The baseline "Black" card could be offered in the shorter design; while the top-tier XC Ultra could be exclusive to the longer design. GIGABYTE, on the other hand, has two designs, a shorter-length dual-fan; and a longer-length triple-fan. Both models are dual-slot. The baseline SKU will be restricted to the shorter board design, while premium Gaming OC SKUs could come in the longer board design.

Reddit user CarbonFireOC wasn't happy with the temperatures he's been seeing on his Radeon VII, and decided he wanted watercooling. Unfortunately, that early since product release no GPU waterblocks are available for the Radeon VII. What he figured out was that the waterblock of EVGA's CLC 280 all-in-one cooler will fit. This cooler, which is made by Asetek and licensed by EVGA is designed for Intel & AMD motherboards and many similar variants exist from vendors like Fractal Design, NZXT and others.

While performing such a mod on a $700 graphics card is not for the faint-hearted, it shows that with a little bit of creative ingenuity you can achieve amazing results without wasting top dollar.

Canadian electronic music producer and mau5trap label head deadmau5 is one of the most prominent fixtures in the international dance scene of the last decade, instantly recognizable with his signature oversized mau5 head. Known for his live sets and highly produced stage set-ups, he is also an avid video gamer - contributing to soundtracks for Grand Theft Auto, Need for Speed, and more.

The EVGA x deadmau5 project was sparked by a tweet posted by deadmau5 asking his community where he could get a quality gaming PC to use while traveling. EVGA reached out and suggested building a mITX PC with the EVGA Hadron chassis. Both sides further discussed the case and EVGA offered to build a gaming PC using its EVGA Hadron air and hardware.

As we inch closer to the supposed 15th February launch of the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, pictures of more AIC partner branded custom-design cards. The first two of these are from Palit and EVGA. Palit is bringing two very compact cards to the table under its StormX banner. These cards appear to be under 18 cm in length, and use an aluminium fin-stack cooler that's ventilated by a single 100 mm fan. There are two grades based on factory-overclock. The base model ticks at 1770 MHz boost, while the OC variant offers 1815 MHz boost.

EVGA's GTX 1660 Ti lineup includes two cards under its XC brand, with both cards being under 20 cm in length, but are 3 slots thick. Both cards appear to be using the same 3-slot single-fan cooling solution as the company's RTX 2060 XC. Once again, we see two variants based on clock-speeds, with the "Black" variant sticking to 1770 MHz boost, and the XC version slightly dialing up that frequency. Based on the 12 nm "TU116" silicon, the GTX 1660 Ti is rumored to feature 1,536 CUDA cores based on the "Turing" architecture, but lacking in RTX technology. The SKU succeeds the GTX 1060 6 GB.

There are a multitude of connectors on this motherboard, and it has everything you'd expect a high-end motherboard to pack in an E_ATX form-factor, including 3x M.2 key slots (2x 110 mm and 1x 32 mm), an integrated Creative Sound Core3D Quad-Core Audio Processor, 8x SATA 6 Gbps ports, a multitude of USB ports... And it even smiles for the camera.

EVGA took to CES 2019 to showcase their lineup of NVIDIA's RTX 2060 graphics card. The company showcased their three interpretations of NVIDIA's silicon, with increased performance and/or engineering across the lineup. The RTX 2060 SC is naturally the most "basic" of the three graphics cards, with a single-fan cooling solution and lower clocks than the RTX 2060 XC, which is slightly above it in EVGA's lineup.

The RTX 2060 XC, of course, takes the performance and temperature department home, with its dual fan cooling solution. It says something about manufacturers' design choices that some decided to max out their RTX 2060 with three fans, while others deemed a dual-fan setup as sufficient. Food for thought.

What's this? A new high-end internal sound-card launch? From EVGA? We must be dreaming! The NU-Audio internal sound card is the most unexpected product from our visit to EVGA's suite on Monday. Developed in partnership with British audiophile hardware maker Audio Note and sold under the EVGA badge, the NU-Audio is a full-height internal sound card with PCI-Express 2.0 x1 bus interface. At its heart is an XMOS xCORE 200 PCIe audio processor with an Azalia-like pipeline. The main DAC is an Asahi Kasei AK4493, fronted by an Analog Devices OP275 OPAMP for the main headphones channel, and AD8056 for the line-out channel.

The card has some serious input chops as output, with the main line-in powered by an Asahi Kasei AK5572, and a Cirrus Logic CS53456 for the microphone-in channel. As an analog sound card, you only get 2 channels. You'll need optical TOSLINK for 5.1 channels. A combination of WIMA and Audio Note electrolytic capacitors are used across the card. The electrical area is ground-layer isolated, draws power from a SATA power input, and uses a Texas Instruments TPS7A47 voltage regulator. All connections between the electrical and audio areas are filtered, and copper EMI shielding covers vital audio components, in addition to the outer shroud. The PCB itself is chunky (possibly 4-layer with 2 oz copper layers).

EVGA has been teasing its flagship GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Kingpin graphics card for well over a month now, and we've finally had a chance to pick one up in the flesh. This card is every professional overclocker's liquid-cooled wet-dream, with a PCB designed with inputs from Vince "Kingpin" Lucido, and a hybrid AIO-CLC cooling solution. The PCB features a 19-phase VRM that pulls power from three 8-pin PCIe power connectors located at the tail end of the card. The CLC makes contact with the GPU, while a copper base-plate, mated with several copper heatsinks over the memory and VRM areas, offload some of their heat to the block. A 100 mm fan ventilates some of these heatsinks.

A 120 mm radiator is on the other end of the card's CLC. This time around, the cooler actually serves a significant function besides being something you rip apart to install your LN2 evaporator: the shroud is studded with an LCD display with a limited feature-set resembling that of the EVBot. Right next to this LCD are diagnostic LEDs, voltage measurement points, a BIOS selector switch, and headers for a full-featured EVBot-like device. The GPU and memory chips are hand-binned for this card, and most of its electrical components are sourced from top bins. These come together for an ungodly amount of overclocking headroom not just with exotic DIY cooling, but also out of the box.

EVGA put out a second teaser of its flagship graphics card based on the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, the K|ngp|n (Kingpin), following the first bite in December. This picture details the cooling solution even better. The cooler uses a combination of an all-in-one (AIO) liquid closed-loop-cooler (CLC) and a fan-heatsink. The CLC does the heavy lifting, with a pump-block over the GPU, and some of the heat offloaded from secondary heatisinks. A set of fin-stack heatsinks cool the memory and VRM areas, which are ventilated by a 100 mm fan. EVGA appears to be using relatively expensive materials such as copper, for its secondary heatsinks.

EVGA today released four new all-in-one (AIO) liquid VGA coolers for its GeForce RTX 20-series graphics cards, under its Hybrid Kit branding. The Hybrid Kit "400-HC-1184-B1" is meant for RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 XC, XC2, and Founders Edition variants. The "400-HC-1384-B1" is designed for RTX 2080 Ti Founders Editon and EVGA's XC and XC2 renditions of the RTX 2080 Ti. Both these models are priced at USD $169.99. The "400-HC-1284-B1" is designed for FTW3 series cards based on the RTX 2070 and RTX 2080; while the "400-HC-1484-B1" is meant for the RTX 2080 Ti FTW3. Both these FTW3 variants are priced at $179.99.

These coolers earn their "Hybrid" name in being a combination of liquid and air cooling. An AIO pump-block pulls heat from the GPU, while a heatsink ventilated by a 100 mm fan suspended along a shroud cools the VRM areas of the graphics cards. A base-plate covers the memory areas, and transfers heat to the AIO block. A 120 mm radiator along with a 120 mm PWM fluid-bearing fan dissipate heat drawn from the GPU and memory. The shroud covering it all is studded with addressable RGB LEDs that plug into the aRGB header of the PCB.

EVGA has been launching a number of products in partnership with renowned overclocker KIngpIn (Vince Lucido). These are typically made for extreme overclocking scenarios, and represent the very top of EVGA's offerings in terms of materials, build quality, and scarcity of built cards. For now, there's just a simple tease, posted via Vince Lucido's Instagram account, but this serves to surprise virtually nobody: NVIDIA's Turing will also receive the KIngpIn treatment.

Past examples of KIngpIn-branded graphics cards supported features such as improved power delivery systems (increased number of phases and power connectors), as well as some of the most versatile designs ever, with both triple-slot cooling solutions and single-slot adapters. As always, expect the GPUs inside the KIngpIn RTX 2080 Ti to be cherry-picked versions out of EVGA's crops.
