Scythe Intros Mugen 5 Rev. B with AM4 Support

Scythe today introduced a revision of its Mugen 5 tower-type CPU cooler, which adds support for the new AMD socket AM4. The new Mugen 5 Rev. B includes a mounting kit for AM4 motherboards that lets AMD Ryzen processor users take advantage of Scythe's premium air cooler. The company could be working on similar revisions of its other coolers, which include the AM4 mounting kit. The company recently announced standalone mounting kits for AM4.

Besides AM4 support, the Mugen 5 Rev. B is identical to the original Scythe launched in December 2016. It consists of a large aluminium fin-stack heatsink, in which heat drawn from a nickel-plated copper base is drawn from six 6 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes, and run through a thick aluminium fin-stack, which is ventilated by an included Kaze Flex 120 mm fan, although it supports up to two fans in push-pull configuration. Japanese cooling expert Scythe announces a new addition to the tower-design CPU cooler line-up. Scythe Byakko is a compact cooling solution with a total height of mere 130 millimeters, which fits in virtually every PC case. Great compatibility is assured thanks to the asymmetric alignment of the base-plate and the heatsink. Byakko is equipped with Scythes Slip Stream 92 PWM fan, offering a wide speed range for different purposes. Japanese cooling expert Scythe presents the second version of its Thermal Elixer high performance thermal grease. After collecting the user's feedback and experience with the first Thermal Elixer, Scythe engineers created an improved thermal grease solution. Thermal Elixer 2 utilizes the Pure Aluminum Particle Hybrid Technology and is based on high quality components. Thanks to this combination a significant reduction of thermal resistance to 0,013 K/W has been achieved. Scythe was especially careful in the development process of the Thermal Elixer 2. The goal was to create an extremely powerful, yet easy to use solution that omits electrical conductivity. Scythe Launches the GlideStream 120 PWM with 3-way Limiter Switch

Japanese cooling expert Scythe extends the GlideStream series by announcing a brand new model with PWM-support and built-in fan controller. Scythe's GlideStream 120 fan series is based on further development of the very popular Scythe Slip Stream fan series. The new GlideStream 120 PWM SC fan combines the outstanding advantages of the GlideStream series such as the "small hub & large blades" concept for increased airflow at low fan speeds and new features, including PWM support and the innovative 3-step switch.

Scythe took a very different approach when developing the GlideStream 120 PWM SC fan. The new fan offers not only the support of PWM-signal based fan control, but provides users with the unchallenged opportunity to switch between one of the three possible options for maximum fan speed. Scythe attached a 3-step switch to the fan, which limits the fan speed to either 800, 1.150 or 1.500 RPM. The PWM curve is adjusted according to the set position on the fan without the necessity to adjust the applied voltage. Thanks to this feature, GlideStream 120 PWM SC can be used for very silent operation in the fan speed range between 300 and 800 RPM and switched to more powerful mode anytime, when it is required. This way Scythe was able to combine the fan speed ranges of three different case fans in only one model without compromising the PWM support.

Scythe Releases Fuma Twin-Tower CPU Cooler

Japanese cooling expert Scythe announces the availability of it's new Fuma Twin-Tower CPU-Cooler. The new model combines a compact Twin-Tower design with total height of mere 149 millimeters and impressive cooling performance. Scythe Engineers successfully created a compact but powerful Twin-Tower heatsink with a total height of 149 millimetres. The new Fuma utilizes 6 high-quality-copper-heatpipes with 6-millimeter diameter. Scythe has soldered the heatpipes to the solid copper-baseplate and the small cooler-block, to increase contact area and maximize the heat-transfer. Both copper-heatpipes and copper-base-plate have been nickel-plated in a final step.

Scythe Readies Fuma Dual-Stack CPU Cooler

Scythe is close to launching its latest high performance CPU cooler, the Fuma (SCFM-1000). This aluminium dual-stack (D-type) heatsink features two fin-stacks with a slanted fin pattern that maximizes heat dissipation by exposing more metal to the air-flow. Heat to the two fin stacks is led by six 6 mm thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes. These pipes pass through a nickel-plated copper base with mirror finish. A pair of 120 mm PWM fans come included, the heatsink itself supports up to three fans - intake, conveyor, and exhaust. The included fans support 4-pin PWM input, and spin between 300 and 1,400 RPM, pushing up to 79 CFM of air, each, with up to 28 dBA noise output, each. Measuring 137 mm x 130 mm x 149 mm, the cooler weighs about 920 g (including fans). All modern CPU socket types are supported, including LGA115x, LGA2011v3, LGA1366, LGA775, AM3+, and FM2+. Scythe Announces Third Version of Grand Kama Cross CPU Cooler

Japanese cooling expert Scythe announcing the third version of it's "Grand Kama Cross" Top-Flow CPU cooler. New Scythe Grand Kama Cross 3 is based on the same extraordinary X-Structure concept as the predecessor, allowing especially efficient cooling of both the CPU and the surrounding components such as VGA cards, VRMs or RAM.

Scythe engineers redesigned the Grand Kama Cross 3 with the goal to significantly improve the overall performance. The new design has lowered both the operating noise at higher fan speed ranges and the air resistance, resulting in improved cooling performance.

Scythe Releases Slip Stream 120 DB Fans with Dual Ball Bearing

Japanese cooling expert Scythe expands the 120 mm case fan portfolio with the announcement of the new Slip Stream 120 DB axial-fans. Scythe Ninja 4 CPU Cooler Pictured

Here are some of the first pictures of Scythe's latest flagship CPU heatsink, the Ninja 4. The fourth generation Ninja gets a unique new symmetrical square fin design, which is split in a way that makes it look like the heatsink has four fin stacks, with a nice four-edged shuriken pattern in the center. The fin stack is fed by six 6 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes, making for 12 ends, three-each for the four lobes of the fin-stack.

The Ninja 4 heatsink can mount 120 mm fans on each of its four sides. It measures 130 mm x 130 mm x 155 mm (LxDxH) without fan, weighing 900 g. Without any fan installed, the Ninja 4 can handle CPUs with TDP of up to 65W. With one of more fans installed, it's game for most high-end CPUs. Sockets supported include LGA2011v3, LGA1366, LGA115x, AM3+ and FM2+. A Scythe Hayabusa 120 PWM fan is included. This 120 mm fan spins between 300-1500 RPM, pushing between 12.93-84.64 CFM of air, with 12.5-29.5 dBA of noise output, taking power input from a 4-pin PWM header. The Ninja 4 is launched in Scythe's home market of Japan.

Scythe Announces the Kodati Rev. B CPU Cooler with AM1 Support

Japanese cooling expert Scythe announces a new revision of its Kodati CPU Cooler. Scythe is one of the first manufacturers to announce a special solution to the market for the socket AM1 (FS1b). Users have finally the chance to exchange the stock AM1 CPU cooler against the much more powerful Kodati Rev. B. The new revision furthermore inherits the socket support to the common sockets from AMD and Intel, which is very typical for Scythe products.

Scythe Kodati CPU Cooler aims specifically at the HTPC and Mini-ITX market, where size and weight is crucial. Thanks to its total heights of mere 34 millimeters and weight of 180 grams, Kodati Rev. B CPU cooler is able to fit to basically every compact system. This has been achieved by implementing the Stealth Fan Mounting Structure (S.F.M.S), where the pre-installed fan is located between the aluminum fin-structure and copper-baseplate. Fast heat dissipation is assured thanks to the two copper-heatpipes with 6 mm thickness. Scythe Tatsumi Cooler Available in AMD and Intel Versions

Japanese cooling expert Scythe ads two new versions of Tatsumi CPU cooler to its portfolio. The most significant difference to the original version of the Tatsumi is that the "Type A" version comes only with the mounting clips for AMD based sockets and "Type I" with clips for Intel sockets. Mounting process for the sockets LGA775, 1150, 1155, 1156 and 1366 is now as simple as it gets thanks to the use of Push-Pins mounting clips. Both new versions of the Tatsumi offer great cooling performance for latest AMD and Intel processors at an affordable price.

The black and white package differs from the original version, indicating weather it is an AMD or Intel version, in order to avoid mix-ups.
