SPARKLE Calibre P860 Turbo Launched

SPARKLE Computer, the professional VGA card manufacturer and supplier, just launched its Calibre P860 Turbo 256MB GDDR3 graphics card. Powered by NVIDIA's GeForce 8600 GT graphics processing unit (GPU), the Calibre P860 Turbo video card supports DirectX 10, Shader Model 4.0, NVIDIA Quantum Effects technology and NVIDIA's PureVideo HD2 technology. The Calibre P860 Turbo graphics card features dual video BIOSes, each containing different core, memory and stream processors clock settings. Users can switch between the two clock speed profiles by pressing the turbo button on the metal expansion bracket above DVI ports. Pressing the turbo button will raise the core speed from 540MHz to 580MHz, memory speed from 1440MHz to 1500 MHz and shader speed from 1296MHz to 1404MHz. The Calibre P860 Turbo Graphic Card will gain 12% score boost in 3DMark06 with a press of the turbo button.

Sparkle Announces New Overclocked G80 Graphics Cards

SPARKLE Computer announced yesterday two new video cards. The firm's new Calibre P889 series replace the previous P880 series and use NVIDIA's Geforce 8800 reference design. The P889+ is based on the 8800 GTX and comes with a core clock of 630MHz and a memory clock of 1960MHz, compared to the standard 575MHz core and 1800MHz memory. The shader clock is also up from 1350MHz to 1512MHz. The P889 Ultra, based on the 8800 Ultra, has a core clock of 650MHz, a memory clock of 2250MHz and a shader clock of 1674MHz, compared to the 612MHz/2160MHz/1500MHz of the reference platform.

SPARKLE Delivers Passive Cooled GeForce 8 Video Cards

SPARKLE unleashed today a whole line-up of passive cooled GeForce 8 graphic cards. Based on NVIDIA newest 8600GTS, 8600GT, 8500GT and 8400GS GPUs, SPARKLE series passive cooling GeForce 8 graphic cards offer DirectX 10/SM4.0, full Windows Vista support and H.264 hardware accelerated support through NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology. SPARKLE Calibre P850LV Card with Temperature Display

SPARKLE Computer, today announced Calibre P850LV graphics card with elaborate designed daughter card to the entry level market. The Calibre P850LV graphics card is powered by NVIDIA's next generation GeForce 8500 GT GPU (G86 architecture). Helped with 650MHz core speed, 1300MHz shader clock and 128bit 128MB 1600MHz GDDR3 video memory, the Calibre P850LV graphic card fully supports Microsoft DX10/Shader Model 4.0, NVIDIA PureVideo technology and all the Microsoft Windows Vista features. In order to bring additional value for end users, the Calibre P850LV graphics card is equipped with a specially designed daughter card, which can show real-time GPU temperature or real-time PCB temperature on Graphics Display Port (GDP) with 3bit digital tube display. SPARKLE unveils two GeForce 8800 ULTRA Cards

Today is the official launch day of NVIDIA's GeForce 8800 Ultra graphics card and Sparkle is one of the first companies revealing final silicon. It comes in two flavors, an 'ordinary' GeForce 8800 Ultra and a beefed up version named Calibre P880 ULTRA. While the first one features 612MHz/2160MHz core and memory clock respectively, the thermoelectric cooled (TEC) P880 got super fast 650MHz/2250MHz instead. The prices of these cards are unannounced yet.

Sparkle produces first video card with 80nm NVIDIA GPU

Sparkle has officially beaten all the other NVIDIA manufacturers to making a card based on an 80nm GPU. The first 80nm GPU from NVIDIA is a blue 7600GT, based off of the G73 (there is no information on what NVIDIA calls the 80nm version of the G73). The card comes clocked at 650MHz, a full 90MHz faster then 7600GT stock specifications. The memory and memory controller is still the same. The memory is clocked at 1600MHz DDR, and is only 128 bit. The card comes with 12 ROP's, 256MB of memory, and a PCI Express x16 interface. The card should be available in 2007, and offers significant performance benefits when compared to the 90nm version of the same card (roughly 500 points in 3Dmark06).
