Acer Expands Its Predator Gaming Portfolio with Three New HDR Monitors

Acer has expanded its line of Predator gaming monitors with three new VESA DisplayHDR -Certified models: the Predator CG437K S, Predator X38 S and Predator X28. The new monitors target different niches by offering something that will excite a wide variety of gamers, whether weekend warrior or seasoned professional.

The Predator CG437K S is a massive 42.5-inch NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible gaming monitor with a UHD (3840x2160) display that strives to provide players with the most flexible experience possible, containing a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports that support the latest game consoles[1] and allow for 4K 144 Hz with VRR using only a single cable. A USB hub offers a USB-B port, a pair of both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports to support an array of peripherals, plus a USB Type-C (PD30W) port for good measure. MSI Introduces the Optix MAG342CQ Monitor: 34" VA, UWQHD, 1500R, 144 Hz, 1 ms, Adaptive Sync

MSI has announced another entry into their Optix MAG monitor lineup. The MAG342CQ makes use of a big, 34" VA panel with UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440) that offers up appealing specs for a gamer: 144 Hz refresh rate paired with a (rated) 1 ms response time and a comfortable, not too aggressive 1500R curvature. EIZO Corporation today announced the release of the 37.5-inch FlexScan EV3895 - its first ultrawide, curved monitor. The monitor is developed to reflect the needs and workstyles of professionals working in trading rooms, home trading stations, and back offices. The ultrawide 3840 x 1600 (UWQHD+) resolution affords nearly triple the pixels compared to Full HD so users can freely arrange multiple applications across the vast screen. The FlexScan EV3895's gentle concave brings those edges in to a more comfortable distance, improving visibility, focus, and immersion.

Acer Releases the CB342CKC OmegaLine Monitor: 34" IPS, UWQHD, 21:9, 1 ms, AMD FreeSync

Acer has released a new ultrawide 4K addition to its lineup in the form of the CB342CKCsmiiphuzx monitor (no, this news editor hasn't fallen asleep on his keyboard; that's the actual model name). The new Acer CB342CKC enters the company's OmegaLine lineup, and features a 34" IPS panel with a UWQHD (3,440 x 1,440) resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The panel features a run-of-the-mill "up to 75 Hz" refresh rate, and Acer quotes 1 ms response times. The low refresh rate could be somewhat compensated by the addition of AMD's FreeSync.

The CB342CKC further features 400 nits brightness, though there is no DisplayHDR certification. The monitor covers 99% of the sRGB color space, and viewing angles are par of the course for an IPS panel - 178º. I/O wise, we can count on 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 1x USB 3.1 Type-C, 2x USB 3.1 Type-A (hub), and a built-in 2x 3 W stereo speaker. Quality of life features include - 5° to 35° tilt adjustment, 360° swivel, 150 mm height adjustment, and a 100x100mm pitch VESA mount.

AOC Expands Their Business Monitors Portfolio with ten new P2 Series Models

In the times of growing need for monitors with bigger size, improved connectivity and image quality, display specialist AOC announces the new P2 series monitors for professional users. Philips Intros 345M1CR Momentum Ultrawide 144 Hz Monitors for Next Gen Consoles

Philips late last week introduced the 345M1CR Momentum, a 21:9, 34-inch ultrawide monitor designed for next-generation game consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X), without naming them as such. The monitor offers UWQHD (3440 x 1440 pixels) resolution, 4 ms response time (1 ms with low blur mode), and 144 Hz refresh rates, and possibly features HDMI 2.0b connectivity to work with next-gen consoles. 4K UHD at 60 Hz is the core design goal of both Microsoft and Sony, although it's quite conceivable that the two could enable support (including in-game optimization) for ultrawide formats and high refresh-rates (beyond 120 Hz). There's no word on pricing or availability.

LG Intros UltraGear 34GN850-B 34-inch Curved Gaming Monitor

LG introduced the UltraGear 34GN850-B, a 34-inch, 21:9, curved, ultra-wide gaming monitor, a revision of the UltraGear 34GN850, denoted by the "-B" in the model name. The monitor uses a Nano-IPS panel by LG Display, which offers UWQHD (3440 x 1440 pixels) resolution. The panel offers 144 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms (GTG) response time, and support for a constellation of proprietary features: AMD FreeSync 2 Premium, NVIDIA G-SYNC (compatible), HDR10, DisplayHDR 400.

The UltraGear 34GN850-B offers coverage of 98% of DCI-P3 color gamut, 10 bpc (1.07 billion colors), and feature such as Dynamic Action Sync (lag reduction), Black Stabilizer (improves visibility in dark areas of the scene), and overlay crosshair. Other specs include 178°/178° viewing-angles, 1,000:1 static- and dynamic mega-contrast ratios; and 400 cd/m² maximum brightness. Non-display features include a 2-port USB 3.0 hub, a headset stand, and VESA wall-mounts. Display inputs include two HDMI 2.0 and a DisplayPort. It is available from late-April at an unknown price, although the original 34GN850 can be found around $900 in some places.
