With the official GeForce GTX 760 launch imminent, leaked specs, benchmark scores and pics are to be expected. That is precisely what we are looking at today, a card branded Xenon JetStream, sporting the familiar Palit aesthetics, apparently Xenon being a Palit sub-brand for the South Korean market. The images, specs and scores come from the ChipHell boards, where they were posted by forum member Charlie.

The card itself is very small, apparently a non-reference design, making use of an over-sized dual fan cooler, known to us from various GTX 600 generation cards, sold by Palit under the JetStream moniker. The GPU specs confirm the previous leaks, boasting 1152 CUDA cores, 96 TMUs and 32 ROPs. This particular card comes factory overclocked, with the base clock set at 1072 MHz and the boost clock 65 Mhz higher, at 1137 MHz. The GDDR5 memory, 2 GB on this model, comes with a slight overclock as well, 1550 Mhz precisely (6200 Mhz effective speed). Performance wise, the card did slightly better than a stock GTX 670, so keeping in mind the lower stock clocks of the reference GTX 760 card, we can expect it to perform slightly worse than a stock GTX 670.

AMD's new A10-6800K "Richland" APU is turning out to be quite the chip for competitive overclocking. Finnish overclocker "The Stilt" cracked the 8.00 GHz mark with the chip. Skills aside, "The Stilt" relied on liquid-nitrogen cooling that kept the chip at -185°C, a core voltage of 1.992V, a base clock of 126.99 MHz (~127 MHz), and 63.0x BClk multiplier. All four cores were enabled during the feat. Launch of Intel's Core i7-4770K "Haswell" processor may be a month away, but the chip has been in circulation for some time now. An overclocker going by the handle "rtiueuiurei" managed to get an engineering sample of the chip past the 7 GHz mark, 7012.65 MHz to be precise. A base clock of 91.07 MHz, multiplier of 77.0x, and a staggering 2.56V core voltage, unless CPU-Z read it wrong. A single 2 GB memory module was used; no other details were revealed. Core i7-4770K and a fleet of compatible socket LGA1150 motherboards launch around the first week of June.

The record was made possible (apart from great skills), by G.Skill F3-2666C11-4GTXD 4GB DDR3-2666 MHz memory, AMD A8-3870K APU, Gigabyte A75-UD4H motherboard, and a liquid nitrogen pot made by K|ngp|n Cooling. Taiwan-based Gigabyte Technology is now working on releasing another customized GeForce GTX 680 card, a model codenamed GV-N680OC-4GD which is factory overclocked, packs 4 GB of memory (double the amount of most GTX 680s), and comes equipped with a WINDFORCE 3X 450 W triple-fan cooler.

Gigabyte's card also has an Ultra Durable VGA design (2oz copper PCB, Ferrite Core (Metal) Chokes, Low RDS (on) MOSFET, Japanese Solid Capacitor), a GPU clocked at 1071/1137 MHz Base/Boost (standard is 1006/1058 MHz), a 256-bit memory interface, a memory clock of 6008 MHz, and dual-DVI, HDMI (gold-plated) and DisplayPort outputs. No word yet on availability or pricing.

Going for the opposite of overkill (should be underkill right?) when it comes to VRAM, Gigabyte Technology has decided on rolling out a customized, overclocked Radeon HD 7850 card that has half the memory amount found even on stock models - 1 GB. Gigabyte's memory-light card is codenamed GV-R785OC-1GD and it features an Ultra Durable 2 design (Ferrite Core Chokes, Low RDS (on) MOSFET, Lower ESR Solid Capacitors), a WindForce 2X cooler with two fans and two copper heatpipes, a blue PCB, a GPU clocked at 900 MHz (860 MHz stock), a 256-bit memory interface, a VRAM frequency of 4800 MHz, one DVI port, a gold-plated HDMI out and two mini DisplayPort connectors.

The GV-R785OC-1GD is currently up for pre-order @ €264.71.

Gigabyte cracked Core i7-3770K clock speed record, achieving 7102 MHz. The feat was made possible with its newest Ultra Durable 5 motherboard, the Z77X-UP7. The UP7 is geared for overclocking, but unlike some of its predecessors such as the X79-UD7 and X58-OC, the new board focuses as much on graphics card overclocking and multi-GPU capabilities, as CPU overclocking. In the CPU overclocking department, it is armed by over 32 phases of CPU VRM that use PowIRstage chips.

With graphics card overclocking, not only does the board provide up to four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots using PLX PEX8747 chips, but also a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot that's directly wired to the CPU, for single card overclocking. This is done by wiring all 16 lanes from the CPU through 2-way switches before making it to the PEX8747 chips. If a graphics card is populating the black PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, the PEX8747 is automatically cut off, and all 16 lanes from the CPU root complex it routed to it.
