MSI Announces CPU Guard 1151

MSI has received news from various media websites about possible bending of Intel 6th Generation Processors when using heavy-weight cooling solutions. Possible bending might not occur straight away, however, as your system sits on its desk or moving it anywhere, could result in unwanted effects. To make sure you will never encounter this problem we developed the CPU GUARD 1151 to protect your Socket 1151 Intel Xeon E3 v5 / Core / Pentium or Celeron processor which strengthens the corners to withstand more vertical pressure.

Besides protecting your CPU, the CPU GUARD 1151 is also the perfect tool for anyone looking to 'delid' their 6th Generation Intel processor. When re-applying the IHS, the design of the CPU GUARD 1151 tightly locks the HIS ensuring it will stay in its place and you will never have to worry about optimal thermal performance or it moving. Recently the CPU GUARD 1151 was used during an overclocking event, helping top overclockers push their Skylake CPU to the max, breaking world records.

Team Group and HKEPC Set New SuperPi 1M Record

The leading global brand of memory module, Team Group Inc. has announced on the 23rd its joint cooperation with HKEPC Laboratory on the Super PI 1M project through the "TeamGrup ProjectX" memory module. By using rapidly LN2 cooling, a new world record of 5.078 seconds, for Super PI 1M has been set and beat the previous record which remained unbroken for 17 months, thus successfully reaching the top of the world.

The Super PI 1M was written by Prof. Yasumasa Kanada of the University of Tokyo, Japan in 1996 (Heisei 7 Years). Additionally, following the launch of Super PI 1.5 XS Mod by the U.S. XtremeSystems, it has become one of the major projects of the Overclocking World Records, making it one of the most widely used system measurement basis among PC users. The Super PI 1M is used to calculate circumference 220 square using Gauss-Legendre (i.e. pi to 1,000,000 places after the decimal number). Overclocking players from around the world compete by reducing the computation time as the goal and the computation time determines the performance of the processor. However, the time pulse and the low- latency time sequence of the memory module are crucial to the speed of computation.

Team Xtreem ProjectX SEC Helps Set New UCBench 2011 Record

The TeamGroup announced on the 10th that it collaborated with HKEPC OC Labs again since their previous collaboration last month in successfully challenging the Super Pi 32M. the TeamGroup ProjectX-SEC memory module helped the HKEPC OC Labs to set a new world record for the "UCBench 2011" for the 1910.8 MPT quad-core processors with better computing efficiency compared to the second and third places.

The UCBench 2011 is a global over-clocking ranking and was added as one of the four new main items in the fourth quarter last year. It is based mainly on the UnRAR-crack computing engine and performs Crypto computing cracking on encrypted RAR files. It supports a multi-threaded parallel computing and processor instruction sets including SSE2, SSSE3, SSSE4.1 and XOP etc., and measures the crack instruction throughput that the system is able to process per second. This test standard provides multi-core computing and computing performance of the different processor's micro-architecture for different instruction sets and has also become an emerging item for over-clocking competitions.

Team Project X Series Memory Creates Super Pi 32M World Record

TeamGroup announced the new world record of Super Pi 32M (Air Cooling) on Jan. 22, 2014. Super Pi 32M is the most popular test program for pro overclockers to compare the performance and stability of their computers. It's also one of the main items in HWBOT Global Ranking. By using Gauss-Legendre algorithm, it can accurately calculate π to 232 square roots--the 32M digits after decimal point and need extremely high stability of system memory. Beside the performance of processor, memory module clock and low latency timing are also the keys of computing speed. Shorten the computing time is the target for overclockers around the world to compete.
