It's no secret that Rosewill focuses on products that offer a lot of features for as little money as possible. Sometimes, such attempts aren't successful, but when it comes to the Nebula GX30, one of their newest gaming headsets, you really do get an above-average list of specs for the asking price of a mere $37.

The Rosewill Nebula GX30 is an over-ear, closed-back gaming headset equipped with an RGB LED lighting system and a flexible, fully detachable microphone. The RGB LEDs are powered through a USB plug, but the same plug cannot be used to transfer audio as there's no sound card built into it. Instead, a pair of 3.5-mm analogue plugs are utilized to connect the Nebula GX30 to the sound card. Rosewill managed to squeeze an adapter that turns that into a single 3.5-mm TRRS plug into the price as well. Thanks to that, the Nebula GX30 not only supports desktop computers, but laptops, consoles, and mobile platforms.

Let's see what we get when we're looking to buy a gaming headset with a very limited budget. Rosewill previously offered the decent RGH-3300 for almost the same amount of money, but the lack of an in-line remote and a couple of other issues prevented me from recommending it to gamers on a budget. The Nebula GX30 sort of works as a replacement for that model, and it's obvious from the specs alone that it offers more than the RGH-3300. If the sound and microphone quality as well as its wearing comfort turn out to be acceptable, we might have a winner for the budget-focused gamer on our hands!
