Performance

To gage the performance of the S805, we use ATTO and HD Tach for comparable results. A-DATA has made sure to mention up front, that the flash drive is not the fastest one and that their focus lies within the overall design.


HD Tach gives us an interesting result. The first half of the flash memory manages to run at around 30 MB/s and the last half only manages roughly 17 MB/s. Just to make sure that this was no fluke we benched the stick three times. Weird, but the resulting average is 23.3 MB/s which is just about average in our tests.




ATTO on the other hand gives us a maximum of just around 30 MB/s read performance. This is identical to the first half of the HD Tach benchmark. This is due to the fact that ATTO only benches the first 8 GB of the drive. The write speed on the other hand maxes out at 7 MB/s which is quite low.
