HellSign is an isometric paranormal activity hunting game developed by Ballistic Interactive. Don't brush it away as a Ghost Hunters sim because Ballistic Interactive has created a surprisingly deep and incredibly atmospheric hunting RPG with a wide variety of unique points to seriously set itself apart from every other game on the market. It's an incredibly challenging hardcore game that's just hit Early Access at the back-end of last week and already has an incredibly positive-looking future ahead, receiving updates on a daily basis.
Much of the game's appeal comes from its entirely hands-off approach, pushing the player towards an incredibly holistic approach to every aspect of the game. Levels are procedurally generated, and it's the player's goal to inspect every corner of a map and uncover any paranormal activity using various tools and a Cryptonomicon to identify key traits of the enemy presence. In many cases, you'll have to hunt down incredibly powerful creatures in a fashion not too dissimilar to that seen in the Witcher games, and it's every bit as exciting as you might imagine. It's not a simple point and click adventure, however, and is most definitely not for the feint of heart.
