The Corsair Hydro Series H110 is the best performing cooler I have tested thus far. The H110 performed admirably under almost any kind of load, especially when it came to overclock testing where it soundly beats the former performance champion, the H100. With an overclock of 4.1 GHz under Prime95, a gap of 4°C forms between the Corsair Hydro Series H110 and the H100. All other competitors aren't even close in relation to pure performance. While more typical loads may show a smaller difference in temperature, the Prime95 test shows that the Corsair Hydro Series H110 will allow users to overclock further without having to worry about heat. Adding to that is the massive improvement in noise output—just 47 dBA at maximum fan speed. Its noise level, while placing the H110 in the middle of the pack, makes it a huge improvement over the H100 that hit 62 dBA at maximum fan speed. This makes the H110 a full 15 dBA quieter, which is huge, especially since the H110 beats the H100 while being so much quieter. Overall, the Corsair Hydro Series H110 beats the former performance champion in every metric that matters. Backed by Corsair's five year warranty and exceptional support, it's hard to go wrong with the Hydro Series H110.

That said, while the H110 is a fantastic product, it does have a few potential drawbacks. The mounting system is far from ideal: The small nuts used in the back plate can strip the plastic away if users over-tighten the thumbscrews on sockets other than the LGA2011. The Radiator being 280 mm means users must carefully consider their choice of case as not all will accommodate its large size. It also lacks features, like the built in fan controller on the H100 or Corsair Link as seen on the H80i and H100i. The only other problem I see is the lack of a Y-cable, so users can't attach the two fans to a single fan header. Between both fans and the pump, three fan headers are needed—a simple Y-cable would cut that number back down to two.

The Corsair Hydro Series H110 is, in the end, simply a fantastic cooler that looks good and performs great. It does lack some features compared to other products in Corsair's Hydro Series lineup, but that does not detract from the cooler in any significant way, so this is a great option if you want top tier cooling performance without all the excess noise. Just make sure your case has enough room for the massive 280 mm radiator.
