NVIDIA's cooler uses a vapor-chamber baseplate and also provides cooling for the voltage regulation circuitry and memory chips on the GPU's side.

Graphics Card Power Plugs

Power delivery requires one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCI-Express power connector. This configuration is specified for up to 300 W power draw.


NVIDIA is using the same NCP8114 voltage controller as on the GTX 970, GTX 980 and Titan X. The controller has no support for I2C, so there is no advanced monitoring. Its VID-based voltages can be monitored and controlled through NVIDIA's driver.

Graphics Card Memory Chips

The GDDR5 memory chips are by Hynix and carry the model number H5GQ4H24MFR-R2C. They are specified to run at 1750 MHz (7000 MHz GDDR5 effective).

Graphics Chip GPU

NVIDIA's new GM200 graphics processor is the company's new flagship GPU. It is produced on a 28 nm process at TSMC, Taiwan, with a transistor count of 8.0 billion and a die-size of 601 mm².
