Noctua NH-D15S 21

Noctua NH-D15S Review

A Closer Look »

Packaging and Contents

The box Noctua uses measures in at roughly 23.5 cm in length, 19 cm in width, and 23 cm in height. The top of the box is covered in a close-up of the top aluminum fin, the heatpipes, and the product's name, while the front lists a few features and makes sure to point out that the NH-D15S is based on the award winning NH-D15 and comes with a twist. A short paragraph on the left details the cooler and some of its features in multiple languages.

The back of the box again lists features, but this time, many more are mentioned, such as the six heatpipes, SecuFirm 2 mounting system, high RAM compatibility, and asymmetrical layout, just too list a few. The right side of the box lists the heatsink's and fan's specifications in an easy-to-follow format and mentions the scope of delivery (what's included inside the box).

Contents

Once again, I am greeted by Noctua's exceptional packaging. Accessories and mounting hardware are in a box, while the heatsink and fan are in another. Meanwhile, everything is encased in foam. To see a high-end product with high-end packaging is just splendid.

Noctua's SecuFirm 2 mounting system supports most sockets out of the box. Everything one would need has been included, along with a few nice extras that make installing this cooler much easier.
